My version...

It was the beginning of August 2004, when my hubby and I first met. I was doing an errand to pick up some batteries for my mother and I happen to be over at Target during my lunch break. I was at the register paying for the batteries when my hubby, whom by the way…was standing at the other register and spotted me out of the crowd. (I didn’t notice that he was looking at me).

So when as I was walking towards the parking lot leaving Target. I heard a voice of man calling me. At first I didn’t pay much attention to it, thinking it was a mistake but when he kept calling me to hold on…. I turned around and there he was. I was startled at first, thinking that I could have left something at the store by mistake but he when slowly approached me and introduced his name.…then I knew at that moment….”hey, this is guy is trying to hit on me” haha. After the initial shock of knowing that a complete stranger was following me out of Target, I realized that he was trying to get to know me. After he introduced himself to me, he looked at me and said “Hi, I just wanted to let you know how attractive you are!” I was taken back a little but inside I was like “wow!” a complete stranger follow me out of the store just to let me know that…I felt good inside, what girl wouldn’t right? haha. Well, after the flattery was over he gave me his business card and asked me to call him sometime. Honestly, I didn’t think twice about what happen to me on that day….. I put away the business card inside my purse and we both said “it was apleasure meeting each other” and got in our cars and drove away.

Well, about a week had past and I forgot about his business card that was still inside my purse. Until one day when I was extremely bored at work and I decided to give my little purse a cleaning, when I came across his business card again.

I saw that there was an email address on his card. Being the shy girl I am, I decided to send him a little email (hey… what is there to lose right?!). So I went ahead and sent him an email….and with luck, he responded quickly, I might add. haha

That following Saturday, we went out on a date. He took me to Nola’s in Palo Alto and we had a great time!

From that day….I never left his side.

I guess you can find everything at TARGET, even a hubby!!!

Let me start by saying that the next couple of months will go by very fast as we prepare for our “Big Day”! A new life will begin for my future wife and I…..The story of how I met the most beautiful woman in my life. I am truly blessed!

It all began sometime during August ….. actually it was the beginning of August 04’ to be precise. I was going to Target during my lunch break. What started to be another average lunch became a life changing moment for me.

While I was waiting in line at Target, I happen to notice a very beautiful woman at other line and I couldn’t keep my eyes off her! I was hoping that my line wouldn’t be held up to long before she left the store (my mind was scrambling to figure out a way to introduce myself to her).

Unfortunately she left the store before I had that opportunity…..at the moment I thought I’ve lost her. So when I was done with my transaction with the cashier, I hurried out of the store hoping to spot her amongst the crowd. Then “bam” I spotted her in the parking lot….so I ran a little bit closer behind her (no, I’m not a stocker!) haha. My heart was beating fast, thinking what to say without looking like a total “idiot”. So with a deep breath I began to say “excuse me….excuse me”, she turned around slowly and then…..our eyes met! I begin by saying “sorry to bug you….but I happen to saw you in the store and I think that you’re very attractive!”

At this point, I wasn’t quite sure what her response was going to be (hoping that she wasn’t going to turn around and start laughing or worst…..call security!) haha.

To my delight she acknowledged my presence and said “Thank you”. So after the nervous introduction with her my confidence grew and I proceeded to give her my business card and wrote my cell number on the back. I simply asked her “I would love the opportunity to get to know you better….call me sometime”.

After the exciting moment of trying to get to know her…I told her that it was a pleasure meeting her and we both got in our cars that day and went back to our daily lives and drove off…..I was thinking a loud “man, I hope that I didn’t make a fool out of myself” but even at that moment, I did not regret what I did.

Well, a week had past and I didn’t really think much more about what happen that day at Target. Until, one Friday at work….when I was returning back from lunch, I was checking my emails and came across an email address that I didn’t recognize. To my surprise….guess who? ….tick tock…tick tock….okay, times up…. The girl that I met at Target! Feeling like I just won the lottery, I was jumping up and down…. in mind of course. haha

We exchanged email conversations that day and I asked her if she wanted to have dinner with me that Saturday night……she said “yes”.

Since then, I believe that there’s someone out there for you… if you only look.

Love comes quickly… just when you least expect it. It will be waiting around the corner for you!

We though it would be interesting if we did our Vietnamese Tea Ceremony at Hakone Garden in Saratoga, CA.

I will be wearing a maroon wedding ao dai & the groom will be wearing a dark blue ao dai with a thin over layer. My bridesmaids will be wearing a light pink traditional ao dai.

I also bought red parasols for the groom's relatives when they are doing the offering. Also, the parasols will be props when the bridal party take pictures there.

We are going to Vegas to get hitch and get our marriage license.

I always wanted a cheesy Elvis's wedding so we booked the Viva Las Vegas Chapel for July 5th @ 7:30pm. You can watch us on their webcam-details are pending....

So now I am in a mission to find "the dress," seeking for a sparkling, red, silver or gold dress. I want big hair similar to Priscilla Beaulieu.

My bridesmaids, friends and groomsmens will be joining us on this crazy trip.
