i wasn't that girl who had spent her whole life dreaming of her wedding.  in fact, when my friends would talk about it, i was always a big fan of a backyard bbq with lots of food and dancing.  but when we finally got engaged, i was obsessed with planning the perfect wedding.  we searched high and low, far and wide -- from northern california to the virgin islands to mexico to los angeles.  and finally we decided to go with what felt right -- a backyard wedding at my in-law's house. 

it'll be a tad fancier than a backyard bbq, but it'll have a casual style where we can enjoy each other and our guests.  and we can eat, drink, and dance the night away.

for sentimental reasons, the color scheme for our wedding will be yellow, white, and gray.  (we had to change it up a bit because my FI fell in love with a gray suit.  and i couldn't wrap my head around green, white, yellow and khaki and men in gray suits.  so we switched it up.)
