Our wedding was the best day of my life! It was also the best party of my life too- it was such a blast! Here are some pics from the amazing Jason Q Tran. I will write more later about the big day.......... =)
Jesse and Jessica- We share the same name...it was just meant to be! =) We met 6 years ago at UC Santa Barbara, my sorority sister was setting me up for a date party and she had two single lab partners- and one of them was Jesse. She thought I would really like the other lab partner-but once I set my eyes on Jesse I was hooked. We were both Biochem majors and from Nor Cal and we hit it off well right away. We fell in love and moved in together after 3 months. We have had our ups and downs-we broke up when we were long distance- I went off to Nursing school and he went to Law school. He was always 'the one' and dating other people made us realize that even more. But after we graduated we found each other again and really knew then that we were meant to be. He proposed June 18th, 2008 and we are getting married May 30th, 2009--I can't wait!!
My dress is a Maggie Sottero Cassie and I never thought I would have picked out what I did. I thought I would
get a very simple, sheath type dress!
**UPDATE** - I'm having my dress altered so that it isn't so 'poufy' by Kirsten Tucker. I can't wait to see the dress- it will be ready April 21st!!!
I can't wait to get my shoes! Yes they are knockoffs (hanging my head in shame) but I can't afford the real Christian Louboutin's - so I couldn't resist! =)
I got them from www.ioffer.com, it is similar to ebay. I searched "Christian Louboutin Pink". I paid $60 I think, plus $40 for shipping which was a bummer but they came from China. Still less than the real thing and I am happy with them!
The ones i got:
The real thing:
I got my bracelet from Etsy seller BelleNouvelle Designs. I showed her a picture of MRsGG's bracelet that I am so in love with, and she was able to do it for half the price ($70)! It doesn't have the crystals on the sides of the bracelet like the Dana Saylor one had though.
Our table numbers with our candles that we got special ordered to match our colors from www.barnumpartycandles.com-
they will go inside votive holders.
For those of you who want to do them yourself: Here's the sample and you can erase and put in different numbers for each table
The linens are from Classic Party Rentals- Begaline dark brown, cerise (pink) and pea green. I will have brown table linens with tables of pink napkins and tables of pea green napkins. The headtable and cake table will be green. The colors in this pic are hard to see, for a better view of the colors you can go to http://sanfrancisco.classicpartyrentals.com/products/Bengalines
My FI designed them for us and also inspired by one we like on weddingpaperdivas.
These are the BM dresses, they are by Jasmine in the color Peony.
For my girls I got them a makeup pouch from Victoria's Secret, a jewelry travel case, and sequined flip flops in black from Victoria's Secret.
Jesse bought the boys converse shoes to wear at the wedding!
Our cardbox is going to match our cake- square with brown, green and pink ribbon. It was inspired by MrsGG's gorgeous card box. I bought three cardboard boxes from Michael's and wrapped with white wrapping paper. Then I glued the ribbons and voila! I may add some flowers to this, I'm not sure yet though. Thoughts? with flowers or without?
My programs were inspired by a knottie named TDiddy- her wedding was awesome and has a similar theme as mine- class but fun!! They are similar to MrsCharmenG's as well.
About us:
Thank you to family, friends and parents
Our florist is Nicole Ha, I am so excited! She has a great eye and wonderful taste and I just adore her work. We are going to have pomanders in the ceremony and use them for the centerpieces also with some submerged flowers in tall centerpieces, and also short vases. Here are some ideas we bounced off each other and want to use for the wedding:
The Ringbearer Pillow I got from Etsy seller Allofyou. My nephew is 8 and he is going to wear converse shoes to match the groomsmen!
The flower girl dress is form www.mygirldress.com
I found these on www.custom-programs.com. They have lots of different pricing options and styles and let you customize the invitations. Ours will be very similar to these but in a different font style.
Our ceremony and reception will be at Dublin Ranch golf course in Dublin, CA. One PW gal, Stephanie Deanne, got married there and her wedding is a big inspiration for me. It was modern, fun and lots of great colors and details.
My FI did our monogram- I think they turned out cute and he was so happy to be able to help out with wedding stuff!
FI designed these for us, he is the best! The font was "sloop script 2 with less slant" and the corner images he used from our invitation designs.
My earrings were on sale from Macy's- I love getting a good deal! =)
I went on my 3rd trial and fell in love with Christal's work from ArtistrybyChristal! She really listened to what I wanted and gave advice on what would look best on my skin tone. She also gave me a skin regimen from now until the wedding to look my best. She is awesome I can't wait to work with her!
Here are some pics I took myself- she is emailing more she took with her good camera so I'll post those soon!
My dress is from BB Dakota and I got it from www.modcloth.com:
I tried to find yellow shoes that I loved, but found some gorg purple ones instead from endless.com:
Had to keep it going with the whole 'dots' theme =) We printed the names on photopaper, then cut some green or
pink cardstock depending on menu selection, and brown cardstock.
For our favors we are using envelopes to put the photobooth pictures. We got metallic brown evelopes, made a belly band with cardstock and placed the message on top.
Big Thanks to Jackie G for the proof that DIY hair pieces can turn out just as good as the more expensive Etsy versions! I bought the flower from Michaels, took two of the flowers and glued them layer by layer. Then I added the feather and pearl piece in the middle. Voila!
For my bridal shower we hired a sushi chef and had sushi rolled for everyone- it was SO yummy and fun to watch and make our special requests! My family, FI's family, friends and a couple of coworkers went. We played 'guess my age' and not even my mom could guess my age in all the pictures lol! And we played pin the smooch on Jesse- my FI! My uncle took the pics- he does photography as a hobby =)
The whole gang: Pinning the smooch on Jesse!:
My cousin Brian, the sushi chef!: Me, my girlfriends and my mom:
My cousin got me a pregnancy test!
