Well, we met a few years ago at the Wesley Foundation, an on-campus college ministry, and instantly became friends. Neither of us wanted to jump into a relationship too quickly, and he was also activated with the National Guard at the time, so he was down in New Orleans a lot. So we became great friends and it all just grew from there! We've definitely had our ups and downs, but the bad times have just made us so much stronger. I'm so lucky to be marrying my best friend!

We went to NYC right after Christmas this year, and stayed with one of my best friends. He had intentionally been picking fights with me, but I had no idea he had been scheming with my friend the whole time! We went to Central Park on New Year's Day to go ice skating, and when we started skating our song started playing. He pulled me over to the side and got down on his knee! I was so overwhelmed and wanted to hug him, so I got down on my knees on the ice with him! :) By the time we got up, there was a huge crowd around us clapping and cheering...it was really awesome. I was so excited and surprised!!

It's perfect! He's so sweet and did such an amazing job!

We set the date for August 8, 2008! We knew we wanted a candlelit, small, intimate wedding, but we didn't realize how hard that would be to do! The guest list quickly got out of hand, but it was impossible to cut people from it. So now we're thinking about not sending invitations at all and just sending out announcements to everyone immediately following the wedding. That way only our immediate family and very close friends will be there. Not sure if that's ok with all the etiquette and everything, so I guess we'll see! Please let me know if you have opinions on it!

Here's my dress! It won't be in until the end of May or beginning of June, and I haven't even seen it in the color I ordered it in, white! The one I tried on was ivory. That makes me a little nervous! And I'm still not sure if I'm going to wear the straps or not...they make it fit a little better, but I love the look of a strapless dress.
