Rustic Wedding Cake

We decided to DIY when it comes to the cake. It's going to be really simple in design. Three round tiers with rustic cream icing and graham crumbs along the bottom of each tier. The cake itself will be yellow or white with raspberry filling. The cake will be presented on a thick wood slab with accents of flexible branches around the base.

Cake Topper

I found these delightful creations on etsy.com by kikuike who is in Japan. It was a long wait for them to be made to my specifications, but when they arrived they were perfect. I specifically wanted plain penguins, nothing fancy. We chose penguins because they choose only one partner for their entire life. Bobby is my penguin.

Cake Table Setup

Cake stand with our monogram B+J carved or burned into the wood, a giant spool will be the table with other rustic decor surrounding it, chandeleir (possibly antler) will be hanging over the cake table, antiqued doors will be in the background of our cake table (DIY), and frames with parents' wedding photos in them.
