How We Met

Cody and I meet at Sunset Beach in July of 2006. Funny story, I was at our river house in NC and had to take my cousin to the Wilmington airport. Also that same week while I was at the river house in NC, Ross, a good friend from college was at Sunset Beach with some friends. I drove down from Wilmington after dropping off my cousin to go to Sunset Beach. Meanwhile the only reason I was going really going to Sunset Beach was because Kasey Kahne was going to be at Myrtle Beach, Sc and I wanted his autograph and Sunset Beach is not to far from there. So I get to Sunset Beach to meet up with Ross and he has 3 friends there, one being Cody. The first night we hung out and talked. Then the next day was when I was going to get Kasey Kahne's autograph. So I went to get the autograph and then meet the guys at a restaurant. Afterwards we headed back to Sunset Beach and hung out and watched a movie. Cody and I talked the whole night and also into the next day. Even went to hang out on the beach. In the mean time my family at the river house is calling me wondering where I am at. So I had to leave but I would not give Cody my number, I told him he had to get it from Ross. Well it took a while before Ross gave him my number and ever since then we have been together.
The Proposal

On Monday night July 28th, Cody asked me if I wanted to go the Virginia Tech duck pond. Which we do all the time. I had off that day since I had been on vacation the whole week before. So we take the dogs to the duck pond. We tie the dogs to a pinic table and they are getting all tangled up. But Cody does not seem to care. Meanwhile I think this is weird. Also he's hands are all sweaty which I think is weird too and he won't sit down. So i'm like what's up. So then he gets down and asks me to marry him AND of course I say YES!!!!!!!!!!
I made my own save the dates cards then sent them off to snapfish to get processed. They turned out so good.
This past weekend I did a DIY project-my aisle runner... I loved how it turned out.
The Ceremony is taking place at the War Memorial Chapel on the Virginia Tech Campus
This jewelry i got at Etsy for $16.00 Including shipping. I just love it.
Bridesmaid dresses are from Davids Bridal, in the cognac color.
I love the wheat on the tables. So somehow I am going to have wheat as my centerpieces
I cannot believe I have 100 more days left! The time is flying. WOW!! :)
I really need to start working on my DIY. Not stressing yet but i'm sure I will be soon.
I got my dress at David's Bridal. I go this Sunday for my first fitting, I'm so excited! The picture below is from the David's Bridal site. I hope to have more pictures from this Sunday's fitting. The picture just does not do the dress justice. It is so pretty in person.
Sorry the image is cut off at the bottom. I'll try and post a better picture later. I am attaching the tags to 3 chocolate candy sticks with ribbon.
Below are our two fur babies.
