I changed into my 2nd dress after dinner and first dance!

I JUST LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MY SHOES!!! I worn them for almost 12 hours...!! They were THAT comfy :))

So, the photog who did my Bpics asked me to 'model' for 1 of her theme shoot and wearing my dress. Hmmm...let me think for a second....well, yeah off course I would LOVE to wear my dress again!! Such a romantic venue, walking around in my wedding dress in the middle of the apple and pear trees was awesome.........I guess I really need to clean up my dress NOW :))

YEP Ladies........we did it.......! However NOT legal yet......

On March 10, 2010 we had our wedding ceremony in Koh Samui - Thailand...It was kind of last-minute arrangement though!

First of all we already booked a vacation to Thailand in March this year. And one of my dreams was having a beach ceremony, since our budget doesn't allow us to get our friends & family to an exotic place I was thinking why not having one while we're there (just the 2 of us)... However, since we came up with the idea in January, we haven't had much time to make all the arrangements before we left for Thailand on March 3rd......

So, I browsed thru the Internet like crazy to find a dress, our rings, a nice venue, an officiant who would be able to marry us, affordable photographer, flowers etc etc etc..........and all that within 8 weeks........At first I emailed a local wedding planner, however their price was soooooo ridiculous so I decided to arrange myself. After my long research and sleepless nights I managed to arrange everything on time!!!!!! It was 8-weeks full of stress but totally worth it............!!!!!!! I even found a great dressmaker, who was able to make me a beautiful tea-length wedding dress within 4 weeks time. AND we designed our wedding bands ourselves, which were hand made in Indonesia (lot cheaper). It was a close call, but my sister who lives in Indonesia was able to get the rings ready on time. I got the rings on March 2nd, and we left on March 3rd...........

Our beach ceremony was sooooo romantic, just like I ever dreamed of...............Just the 2 of us standing there, with our bear feet in the sand, exchanging our vows and rings and finally the words 'I do'......

Despite all the stress and all that the entire experience was just amazing! UNFORGETTABLE..............And I'm sooooo very happy to call him my husband, eventhough it isn't legal yet.....................

I decided to order the Adorae as soon as I saved up enough money by the end of August…CAN’T WAIT!!

UPDATE 4 MARCH 2011:

Got the email today that my dress has arrived in UK. She'll be shipped over to me (Netherlands) in few weeks.....the waiting is really killing me.........so here she is in the salon, waiting to be shipped out...Still so in LOVE with her.......

Yaayyyy.......FINALLY...my first time in the Adorae...I was so freakin anxious cause I ordered her without seeing or trying her on first! But this is THE dress for me, hands down...! 1st Fitting will be April 23...

She was my best Valentines gift this year! Ordered her from Etsy Abusymother. 1 Tier elbow length with rhinestone edge (not so clear on the pic)…because I’m quite short the veil is somewhere between elbow and fingertip length J

BLING with the dress…

I got the earrings from FI for my Bday and the bracelet as a Xmas gift 2010…..FI is such a sweetheart! Can’t wait to be his wifey ;-)

Since I will go for the Femme Fatale look...LOL....with my RED shoes I decided (at least for now...) to have a red bouquet as well...My FI wil DIY the bouquet himself.......Isn't that romantic.....he is actually very good in making bouquets....what more could a girl ask for :)

I will post some pics of the try-out bouquets later....

Anyway, I will having all kinds of red flowers, not roses only though, and adding blings/rhinestones to it! Something like these:

So I decided to challenge myself to make my own in Black/White/Silver..........However, what I'm going to do is little bit different......I'm going to use 5 square silver cake drums, smallest one on the top for our wedding cake and the other 4 for the cupcakes...

Then I'm gonna use black ribbon to cover the edges of each cake drum!

As support of the tower I will use 3 cake dummies, which I will cover with black/sparkly ribbon:

Then I will glue all these parts altogether.

I really hope that my idea will work out......I'll keep you posted and show you the real pics asap!!!!

Anyway, this is how it suppose to be at the end, except mine will be square shape with different colours..........at least you have an idea what I'm talking about ;-)

FINALLY I started on my cake stand!!!

In progress:

I sew on the rhinestone trims on the satin ribbon and hot glued the ribbon covered by the blings on the cake board. It took FOREVER, but I love how it turned out!! 2 cake boards to go...UGGGHHHHHH

Im going to put 3 cake boards on these cake dummies which I covered with black satin ribbons:

We have 70 bottles labled, FI was so amazingly helpful that day ... lol

UPDATE FEB 6 2011:

My DIY card box………!! Def a labour of love J Getting the right sizes of shoe boxes was a challenge on itself....but its worth it since it FREE :)) I bought the damask box on "Dutch Marketplace" for $2,- Bought the "BLINGS" on Ebay for about $5, got the 2 roses for $2 at a craft store and school book wrapping paper for $1...This trully was a LOW BUDGET DIY.....LOL..... I’ll add our monogram later on the damask box …

So easy to do! I will have about 30 of these for the ceilings at our venue or to decorate the cake table and sweetheart table!

I come up with the idea to make my own hair flower out of the left over fabrics of my dress. I'm so happy how it turned out Ladies. Then I had a hair pin that I never use, so I just cut off the top part of it and sew it on to my flower.....

TADAAAA........
