We had our Engagement party at a park close to our house. We thought we would have about 75 people show up (at the most), we ended up with over 100 people!!! I didn't know we had so many people that loved us. It was so much fun, I would recommend having one because its really gives you a good idea of what your wedding will be like. Our party started at 2 and ended by 8, we then went to his parents house to open gifts and by 10 I was in my PJ's and in bed I was so tired (actually this party helped us be OK with Clarke Estate since you hav to be done by 10).

We chose Clarke Estate for so many different reasons, but the main reason was we could have everything at one venue and be the only wedding there all day long. It is so beautiful!! We got up at 5 in the morning to get over to Clarke Estate to book it (thinking I was smart and would be the first one there). I came with coffee, blanks, a pillow, and a book. But to my dismay when we got there, there was another couple already waiting...I was so scared to ask and find out which day they wanted because I wasn't sure how I would react if the said the same day I was waiting for ( we wanted the 26 for many reasons, I've always wanted to get married in June, and I wanted our wedding to be on a day with a full moon cuz I once saw this wedding picture of the couple with the full moon in the back it was so beautiful, I knew I wanted one just like it, and when I was lucky enough to find a Saturday with a full moon in June it happened to land on the '26', which also happened to be Alex's favorite number/ football number...it was too perfect!!!) It was another hour before another couple showed up and I heard her ask the first couple which day they were waiting for, and when I heard her say the 12 you woulda sworn I won the lotto! So we book June 26th. We are using the lawn facing the Bamboo as the ceremony, we are also going to have a canopy set up for the guests ( just like the wedding scene in I Love You Man), the courtyard is going to be used for cocktail hour, where we will have a slide show playing and drinks being served. For the head table were going to have it set up going around the small pond ( we have 13 bridesmaids and 13 groomsmen) in a horse shoe shape with us facing the dance floor.

I booked my florist and photography. I love my florist because they have an amazing eye, nothing they do looks like your average centerpiece they always add feathers, or crystals, even wire (i know sounds weird but its beautiful when you actually see it) My photography is amazing all I can say is WOW!!! his books are so beautiful and elegant it made me want to cry lol. I booked both of them at a place called Bellasposa Wedding Center, its a one stop shop they do everything there! It is the coolest place I have ever seen. I highly recommend this place to everyone.

So we booked our Videographer on Thursday and I am so excited!!! orginally I didn't want one, but my mom and FI convinced me and I am really glad they did Cuz once I saw Nathans work I fell in love. I looked on 3 different wedding website (and 100's of videographer websites) trying to find something that stuck out to me, and finally i found www.Princeweddings.net and I knew that was it, so I set up an appointment to meet with Nathan and booked him rite then and there! He was very nice and easy going, he didn't make you feel pressaured into any thing. 

Now as far as the DJ goes, its a total opposite experince. We got in contact with a DJ over 4 months ago and he told us to meet him at a "small bar and resturant" where they have the greatest mexican food in town, and where he preformes weekly to see if we liked his style. So We get all dresses up and I bring my mom and dad, my grandma, my FI mom, and his aunt...We ended up in some trashy bar in a really bad part of town, and we couldn't even hear what he was playing. It was horrible, he then came to the table to introduce him self and asked if we were doing ok, and how we liked everything. My mom made a suggestion to him that she would like to see him in person at a wedding rather than a bar ( at the time he seemed find with the Idea) we left shortly after, with him promising to meet with us later that week to go over more details and give us the information for the wedding in November so we could attend and see him in action. Well 4 weeks went by with out hearing from him, and I texted him asking if we could meet soon and he said, "I am not sure I have time this week but I'll let you know when I do."....the week before the wedding we were suppose to go to, I E-mailed him asking him what was up and why he hasn't gotten back with us about the info...I never heard from him...to this day (2 weeks AFTER the wedding we were  to go to) I still have heard from him...I just hope I find A good DJ soon for my June wedding :(

I finally found the DJ for me Station Identification!! what an amazing team of DJ's they are so very helpful and understanding, I can't wait for the day to finally come!!! It's so crazy to think that there are less than 6 months left it just seemed like a few weeks ago that it was over a year away...All my BM's finally ordered their dresses, I did have a few girls drop out unfortunately but I think I will fill them in with some cousins from his side of the family. My mom got her dress a couple days ago and it is so pretty, she looks amazing in it!.. The last things I need to get is a caterer, and my invitations started, then I am done with the big stuff!! :D
