Nick and I met at Tri-State University our freshman year. The first time he saw me I was moving my belongings into a dorm room next to his and all it took was a glimpse. He thought I was so beautiful and was completely stunned by me. He was pleasantly surprised to find out that I wasn’t in a relationship and started pursuing me immediately.
I was not so quick to jump into a relationship. I was just enjoying the college life being single life and had my sights set on other things. One weekend we weren’t in contact like we usually were because I had gone home. When I returned to school, I went over to his dorm to see if he wanted to go to dinner with me and as soon as I saw him I was overwhelmed. I actually missed him that weekend and was genuinely sad when he rejected my invitation to dinner. That night I decided to take a chance on our relationship. I am so glad that I did.
A little more than a year an a half into our relationship Nick and I went on vacation to Myrtle Beach with his entire extended family. I mean Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents...everyone. We decided to go on a date by ourselves so we went to a very nice seafood restaurant and then for a walk on the beach. We were just enjoying the sunset and he caught a glimpse of a sailboat. After asking me to try to get a picture of it, he stepped behind me got out the ring and got down on one knee. He asked me to marry him and I said YES!!!
We are getting married on May 29, 2010 after we graduate from college and I couldn't be more excited to start our life together as husband and wife. :)
