I got engaged July 4, 2008, the day before my 26th birthday. Fiance's name is Alvin. We are from MI. Our wedding is planned for Aug. 29, 2009. I will be doing the damask theme. I just love it. Colors are Black, White and Red. My dress is by Allure #8544 pictured below.
I have:
Ceremony site, reception location, DJ, Caterer, Photographer, Limos, hotel, hair dresser, Dress, veil, guest favors, lots of decorations
I dont have:
$$$$$$$
Things are going well nonetheless. I have lots of ideas and decorations to go with the ideas...need to make lots of projects and still get a lot of things accomplished.... flowers, shoes, etc, etc.
If my wedding turns out the way I want; Im going to be very thankful!
many thanks to all the damask lovers and soon2Bmrsjaramillo's for her awesome DIY projects!
I thought I would add some pictures of my dress since the one on Allure Bridals website doesnt really look like the dress. Here you go.
not a good pic. but these are my $10 bridal shoes! About a 3in heel.
Ok Ive made the decision. The bridesmaid dresses below are by Bill Levkoff. Style number 808. I just love this dress!!!!!
I dont know if you all are aware but Cricut has come out with a new cartridge called Home Accents Solutions. I bought mine on ebay for 20.01 + 6.24 for shipping.............way cheaper than any store. At any rate they have a damask type of cutout. Im so excited! Ive already put my DIY thinking cap on!!!!
My jewelry is from Lia Sophia called Pearlette.
Jewelry for Bridesmaids

Guest Favors - props to seller printyourparty on Etsy
MINE: Not as good of quality sorry
Cost me $7 for the template with printyourparty, again on Etsy (the best helpful site in the world). The Hersheys Nuggets candy I bought when on sale with Kroger 2/$6 (got 34 bags - you do the math) printed them at work! All an all, my favors probably cost me $109 bucks - CANT BEAT THAT!
Now I just need to invest in some wine and sucker my friends into helping me wrap the damn things while watching a good chick flick!
A bit of advice if you are interested:
1. it wasnt cheaper to buy candy in bulk from what I noticed
2. buy the candy when it is on sale - the 2/$6 (I saved .79 cents on each bag ($26.86 total))
3. A 10.5 ounce bag has 30 nuggets
4. A 12 ounce bag has 33 nuggets
5. Sams sells the nuggets in a 54 ounce bag BUT the wrapping is silver AND gold
6. You need a good movie, lots of friends and some booze to wrap these things! :) (That cost not included - ha Ill owe my friends forever!!!)
