J. and I have been together since March of 2004. He asked me to marry him a couple days after my birthday. I always knew we would get married one day, but I just didn't know when he was going to ask. He surprised me with a ring at a picnic he set up for us. Of course, I completely taken aback, I cried, we kissed, then I called my parents and best friends and of course they were happy for me. My best friend told me to come over so she could see the ring. When we showed up, she opened the door, and inside were all of our close friends and my family! A surprise engagement party! Instantaneously the tears began to flow again. Friends from LA and OC even came up for the special day. It was an emotional but unforgettable day...We're getting married in the bay area on July 18, 2009. I can't wait! :)

I wanted something really simple and elegant for my dress... nothing too frilly or over decorated. Although I was tempted to try on the lacy because it is just so pretty, but when I tried this dress on, I knew it was right.
My sister told me that she would make our invitations for us... little did I know that meant that she was just going to be a "creative director!" So after weeks and weeks of stress over the perfect font, color, paper, stamp... we finally got it!
Giao is absolutely wonderful to work with! I have recommended her to so many of my friends already! She did a wonderful job on my hair and make up... I totally felt like a bride!
They wanted something they could wear again... so we found this at Bloomingdales! I love the color, and althoughthe belt is purple... It will work.
We're getting our tuxedos from Men's Warehouse, but we chose ties from tiebar.com to match our colors. Since our colors are orange and pink... here's what we came up with.
The Groom's Tux - ivory vest, ivory shirt, and orange hurricane tie
Groomsmen - Black Tux with black vest and pink and orange striped tie

Fathers - black tuxes with silver vest and pink and silver ties

We recently had our epics taken by Thai Mai http://thaiphotoblog.com/
Thai and Giao were so wonderful to work with! It was extremely windy that day, but still, Thai got some wonderful pictures! Here are some teasers.
This session was by our wedding day photographer, Arif from Perspecta.
