Our wedding will be a combination of Glossy Black Goodness with Damask accents and a touch of Fuschia for a pop of color =) There will even be hints of Nightmare Before Christmas & Audrey Hepburn sprinkled about this black and white wonderland =)
You could say the theme of our wedding is French Vintage Gothic Glam =)
Some of my entries are "Friends Only" for fear of spies (you know who you are) =P Therefore feel free to send me a friend request if you'd like to see all my wedding planning goodness =P
Thanks & Happy Planning!!! XOXOX
Check out our awesome Monogram =) While we loved the ones Kristeen made for us, we decided to go for a more Gothic Old English feel. It definitely set the tone =)
Check out our Awesome Monograms - Courtesy of the Lovely & Uber Talented Kristeen =)
I love them!!! =)

These were our Damask Runners. I have since found an AMAZING Black on Black Damask linen that has completely captured my heart. Sooo these runners are now FOR SALE!!!!! Here was my inspiration...these are the exact same print as shown in this pic!!!
Here are our Damask Runners that will be used on the banquet tables, guestbook table, place card table, etc. They're soooooo pretty, Waverly Damask!!!
We did a lil mockup table of the Placecard Table...we'll be using these Glossy Black Trays to hold our Placecards.
We'll be converting these Damask Favor boxes to Placecards with names on the front and table #s on the back without the ribbon. We may decide to use the
ribbon directly on top to distinguish between the meal choices...but I'm not 100% on that yet =P
What do you think?!?
We wanted something different for our Aisle Runner...so we decided on this Damask Flocked Aisle Runner. We're going to have this run from the end of the Arbor to the opening of the Gazebo where the
officiant will stand.
Along the sides of the Gazebo we're going to have these awesome Black Glittered Bling Finials which will be attached with Black Satin ribbon at varying heights that will surround the Chandelier that will be
directly above us.
What do ya think?!

Soooooooooooooo the place we're getting married at is so freaking gorgeous I can't even stand it. There's not even one thing about it that we don't like...from the Cobblestone Parking lot, glorious
fountains, amazing scenery and calm waterfalls...it's perfect!!!
So it's no wonder that when we entered the Lobby I almost had a heart attack when I saw these GORGEOUS Damask fainting couches/chaise lounges and chairs. I can't wait till we're
all done up in our wedding gear and can get some spectacular photos sitting on these babies. Sorry for the crappy picture quality, my friend took these with his phone.
I wish I could have these bad boys in my house!!!
I knew from the moment I laid eyes on this place that this was it!!! We'll be having the Ceremony at the Tuscan Gardens at the Westlake Village Inn.
We'll walk thru this amazing Arbor towards this beautiful Tuscan Gazebo where we will become one =)
For the Reception we are renting out the entire Mediterraneo Restaurant. We are the first couple to rent the entire restaurant out. Normally they just rent the back room which we'll be using as the Dance Area =) I'm soooooooo excited!!!
The place is gorgeous with a completely amazing ambiance...all candlelit, black crystal chandeliers, amazing black leather chairs with silver grommets, 2 Fireplaces, French Doors galore and just GORGEOUS!!! The Restaurant is divided into 3 main rooms so the wedding will be progressive.
We'll begin the Cocktail Hour in this Room:
We'll then move to the Dining Room. The big table in front of the Fireplace will be removed & in place we'll have a quaint Sweetheart Table instead.
There is an opening to the Dance Room which will be revealed after dinner and the remainder of the evening will be spent cutting a rug on the gorgeous
Dance Floor. I love the HUGE Black Crystal Chandelier and gorgeous fireplaces. They're fantastic!!! There are also gorgeous French Doors surrounding the entire Dance Floor which will be beautiful to let the moonlight shine
through =)
You can say that our Wedding will truly be a Labor of Love for many reasons...especially because it will be on Labor Day weekend. It's going to be fabulous. I just can't wait!!!
On our wedding night we're going to be staying at the gorgeous Villa!!! I'm sooooooooo excited!!! It's freaking huge and sooooooooooooooo beautiful!!! Check it out:
"Built in 1996, the Italian Villa was the inspiration for this one-of-a-kind, two-story suite. 1,500 square feet of palatial elegance featuring private full-service wet bar, dining and living room
areas, natural wood flooring, spiral stairway, two fireplaces, three televisions, piano and vaulted ceilings.
From the private garden patio and terrace, experience
uninterrupted views of the Westlake Village Golf Course, scenic
mountains and lush courtyard areas.
The bathroom is elegantly appointed with marble and
granite accents and includes a Jacuzzi tub for two, a free standing shower, bidet and commode."
My girls and I are going to be staying there
the night before the wedding so we can get ready there. I can't wait to see how all the pix will come out. I can't wait to get pix on those gorgeous stairs!!! =)
What do ya think?!
Sooooo I couldn't find any petal cones that I loved & I knew that I really wanted to have a Petal Toss as the fiance & I walk back up the aisle as Hubby & Wifey...it makes for such an amazing
photo op =)
Sooooooooo I decided to make my own =)
They will be filled with hot pink rose petals =)
What do ya think?!
Love these pix!!! =)
We created these Damask Save the Dates modeled after our Damask Invitations. What do you think?! I really liked the way they turned out =)
After a grueling few weeks of sleepless nights our invitations are finally done!!! (Well design-wise that is) =P
Feel free to check out the electronic files =)

Soooo what do ya think?
Here are our Damask Invitations =) As you can see they compliment our Save the Date's nicely =) I just LOVE them =) Even though these are self-mailers, we're thinking about getting Black
outer envelopes to finish them off =) We may even do a liner on the envelope as well to finish off the whole look =) We'll see if time permits =)
We even got the matching favor boxes that we're going to use as placecard holders....check 'em out =)
We were going to use these as placecards but we found awesome ornate frames instead. We'll probably use these for petit four treats that people can take home =)
What do ya think?!
I decided to put my first name initial on the front too =) So it's a sprinkle of the old me with a splash of the new =)
I actually made this myself & had it professionally pressed so the lettering will stay =) I'm thinking about opening up an etsy shop and selling these...maybe =P
So my mom fell in love with this dress and I think it's going to look GORGEOUS on her =) It's so regal...so elegant...just like her!!! =) It's made by Sarah Danielle. She's getting the black version of
it...and is thinking of updating the lil flowers on the left side of it to pink so it'll match with my wedding colors =)
She's never even tried it on...but she said nothing compared to the this dress...my mom had her own lil "This is THE
ONE" moment =) YAY!
This dress was even more difficult to find then mine!!! Go figure =P But I'm glad she's able to order it and since we're ordering my dress from the same place we'll be getting an awesome deal =)
I'll have to take pix as soon as it comes in =) Yay Mommy!!! =)
What do ya think?!
In June of 2005 I received a random message online from a Hot Trance DJ on (believe it or not) hotornot.com. =P After a few months of missing one another's im's we finally connected and chatted daily. We became instant friends! Once a few months had passed we decided it was time for a meet & greet. Sooooo my best friend & I decided to meet the DJ some place public...we decided on Amoeba Music (how appropriate) =)
Since that day we were inseperable...best friends attached at the hip! He would come over almost every day after work. At the time I was casually dating someone but that soon ended. As a matter of fact, the night that I ended things with the other guy...the DJ kissed me!!! I was in shock...I looked at him completely perplexed & he told me he couldn't hold back any longer...that he had liked me since the moment he saw me online and wasn't going to hide it any longer (awww!) =)
Now mind you up until this point the DJ & I were just friends...best friends...but completely platonic. Soooo we decided to go on our first date. We hit up Universal City Walk, had dinner, walked around & just had a blast! The relationship was off to a good start. What better person to date than your best friend!!! =)
From then on we hit lots of Trance Shows, Clubs, Movies, Disneyland!!!! His birthday was nearing & I kept asking him what he wanted but he never replied....so on the night of his birthday (November 8th) I asked him one last time..."What do you want for your birthday?" He said "You. All I want is you." So it was official...we became boyfriend & girlfriend on 11.8.05 =) We even went on a fun site and got cyber-married =P
...It all happened on the eve of our 3 year anniversary =) And it couldn't have been more perfect =)
Our 3 year anniversary fell on a Saturday 11.8.08. We had a whole weekend filled with festivities =) We began by getting a couple's massage at an incredible spa in Pasadena. This was the DJ's first professional massage ever =) Afterwards we sipped tea and walked around Old Town Pasadena for a while.
Later we headed to the Americana in Glendale & decided to do a lil "ring shopping". We spent some time going through different stores drooling at all the goodies =P But all the while the DJ acted all cool & smooth as if he had nothing up his sleeve =P
We then headed to the Hyatt Valencia where we had dinner reservations at this amazing restaurant called The Vines. We had also booked a room for the night. We ran over to the Suite & got ready for our Dinner. We had an amazing dinner (filet mignon, garlic potatoes...yum yum!!!) Halfway through dinner I realized that I had forgotten my camera in the room =( OH NO! Sooooo the DJ said not to worry. He would go upstairs & get it for us.
A few moments later I get a frantic call from him saying he can't find it. I offer to come up & help him look and he said not to worry. Finally he found it & came back downstairs.
We finished dinner & headed up to our Suite. As we were walking down the corridor to our room I smelled an amazingly sweet aroma. As I opened the door to my surprise the room was filled with lit candles and rose petals galore! It was GORGEOUS!!!
Now mind you since this was our 3 year anniversary & the DJ has a romantic side to him, I didn't suspect he was going to propose. I thought he was just being his romantic self =) So we sat down on the bed & started talking. He brought up how we first met, our first date, our first kiss, etc....and me being my usual goofy self was just joking along with him & what not. The next thing I know he says..."There's just one thing I have to ask you." (and before I could even realize what was transpiring he was down on one knee before me with an open ring box in his right hand and holding my hands with his left. He said "Sandra, will you marry me?" I was in total shock!!! My first reaction was to say "Are you serious?!" Hehe I felt as if I was dreaming!!! He said Yes! His hand was shaking like a leaf (poor baby!) I said again "Are you serious?!?" He said "Of course I am!!! So...Will you marry me?" I screamed YES!!! He then picked me up and swung me around kissing me and lord only knows where the ring box landed =)
After tons of kissing I asked him to tell me everything!!! I wanted to know when he thought of proposing, when he got the ring, when he asked my parents...the whole 9 =) After a few hours of getting all the dish he started looking for the ring box. In a flurry of excitement he had tossed the box which landed amongst the pillows =) At this point I still haven't even seen the ring =P But that didn't matter...all that mattered is the man of my dreams had proposed & I said yes =) AND NOW WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! =)
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE MY CUSTOM RING!!! I couldn't decide between a Princess or a Marquis Cut...so my baby designed something that's the best of both worlds!!!!! A Princess Cut in a Marquis Fashion =) These pix do not do it justice...it is PHENOMENAL!!!!
I could not believe that the entire weekend while we were out and about my Fiance actually had this ring in his pocket waiting for the "perfect moment" to pop the question....even while we were out ring window shopping!!! He's never been good at keeping secrets...but he DEFINITELY had me fooled this time!!!!
We finished off our amazing Anniversary weekend with a Champagne Brunch Cruise on Sunday around Marina Del Rey. It was fabulous!!!!
My Fiance said he was always waiting for the perfect moment & then he realized you make your own perfect moment...and he definitely did!!!! I can't wait to marry my best friend in 13 months!!!! =)
I can't believe it....exactly 1 year from today I'll be walking down the aisle & marrying the man of my dreams!!! Time has flown so much already. I can't believe we've been engaged for 10 months
already!!! I remember thinking wow we have TONS of time till we're getting hitched...but now the countdown has gone from months to days =) CRAZY!!!!
Thankfully I've taken advantage of all this time and have gotten a lot done. Still a few major
things that need to be done:
~ Need a DJ
~ Need to decide on Cake
~ Need a Videographer
~ Need to start my 1,000,000 DIY projects =P
And most
importantly....need to get off my lazy butt and lose another 15-20 lbs =)
But no worries...I'm gonna stretch it out so it's not overwhelming & Git 'er done =P
9.5.10 is just around the corner!!! =)
This weekend I surprised my hubby-to-be with a trip to Disneyland!!!! We had the most amazing time =) I decided to go this past weekend so we could celebrate our upcoming 4 year anniversary a lil early. I sneakily packed a bag with his clothes, etc while he was in the shower and blindfolded him so he wouldn't know where we were going =) We set off onto our adventure =)
When we arrived to check-in to my surprise they upgraded our standard room to an awesome Suite! We had a full view of Disneyland & Downtown Disney. They also gave us 2 FREE Park Hopper tix to Disneyland, Happy Anniversary Pins, balloons, a card, pictures etc. It was awesome! The room was just spectacular!
The entire weekend we got hooked up with free things and upgrades. It was the best =) And better yet....this was the first time either of us had ever stayed at the Disneyland Hotel...which made it all the more special =) I even surprised my fiance with dinner reservations at the Blue Bayou. He's never been there and has always wanted to go =)
We even upgraded our tix to 2 Day Park Hoppers so we're totally gonna go back this coming weekend =) I can't wait!!!
I LOVE Disneyland!!! =)
Check out the sexy boxes I picked up!!! There's actually 4 different sizes....a lil difficult to tell from the photos...
I LOVE THEM!!!! =) Not quite sure what I'm going to use them for
yet...but I'm sure I'll find something =P
If not for the wedding than I can definitely use them in my closet =)
What do you think?!?
We know there are a few special people that we want to honor on our wedding day - My Daddie, My Fiance's Grandma & My Abuelita as well. Well, we're considering having a Memorial Table with pictures of
our loved ones and a Memorial Candle or Flowers for them. I am also looking for a bouquet frame to put a picture of my Dad in to carry with me as I walk down the aisle. I'll probably also have a chair reserved for my Daddie with a Rose on it at
the Ceremony.
In our travels we found these awesome mirrored damask picture frames for their photos. We are thinking of having a nice saying or something in front of the display
saying..."Reflecting on the Memories of Our Loved Ones"...or something to that effect... I think it will give a nice added touch =)
What do you think?
I love my shiny black goodies!!! I think they're going to go so well with the Damask & Fuschia touches we'll have around our venue.
What do ya think?!?
I'm soooooooooooo excited & I can't wait until our Rehearsal. The FMIL is hosting a Fancy Cocktail Rehearsal Soiree at Bogie's Lounge & Bar inside the beautiful Westlake Village Inn. We'll be enjoying this
awesome private cabana inside this cool nightclub that overlooks a beautiful lake
=)
Here are our invites for our Fancy Cocktail Rehearsal Soiree:
Here's the separate Info card we included with the Invite that has the Rehearsal info. Check it out, what do you think?
Here's our Custom Postage to match!!! =)

My sweet Mom got us these awesome Champagne Flutes & matching Server Set =) I LOVE THEM!! =) These pictures do not do them justice...they have an amazing sparkle to them =)
We also got the
color enhanced engraving on the flutes =) They were able to engrave our names in black =) LOVE THEM!!! =) Don't mind the papertowel on the inside...needed to put something on the background so the engraving would show =)
What do ya think?!
=)
For our Sweetheart Table we will most likely have a half circular table in front of this beautiful fireplace in the Dining Room.
I'm thinking we'll do a floor-length jet black linen with one of these mini damask vases to hold my bouquet. They're really neat...they're glossy black with translucent damask pattern on them. If you put a tea light/candle inside it'll actually light up the damask pattern =)
I was also thinking about using this frame and putting "Les Labrums" in some pretty scripty font inside of it at the front of our table. Either that or we have these awesome Ornate letters spelling out our last name as well. What do you think?
I think it'll all depend on what we decide to do with the Mantle behind. My original idea was to have these glossy black fleur de lis on each side & the apothecary jar in the center for the mantle decor.
However we found out that the light fixtures on the mantle are actually bolted in and cannot be removed =( Sooooooo we might be putting vinyl damask decals over them so the damask will light thru...similar to the vases on our table. So that's definitely an idea =)
The manager was able to remove the light fixtures after all so I was able to use the pretty fleurs on each side of the tall apothecary jar and even have pretty candlestick holders to finish off the look =)
What do ya think?!
Check out these awesome Black Metal Damask Frames we got. We're going to use these for the various signs around the Venue, (i.e., Guestbook, Signature Drink, etc...) Mind you they'll look MUCH prettier once
we put something actually inside behind the glass =) (had to take the glass out b/c the flash kept reflecting when I was taking pix) =)
I just love them!!!!
What do ya think?!
We love the idea of having a Ring Warming Ceremony. During the service, your rings are passed around to all of your guests. Each guest holds the rings briefly, while silently saying a blessing or wish for your union. This ritual is ideal for small ceremonies, and can be a great way to include your guests in the service.
Due to the size of our wedding, we will have a modified version of this ceremony in that the box will be passed around to our Wedding Party and a few select members of our family...otherwise we'll be waiting for the rings to make the rounds forever!!! =P
Here is our Nightmare Before Christmas Ring Box:
Here's my Awesome Custom Ring:
Sooooooooooo during our Ceremony we are going to do a modified Unity Candle Ceremony. However, instead of having 3 candles total, we're going to have 5!! We're using the Black Candelabra shown below.
Our Moms will light the candles on the ends & use their lit candles to light my Fiance & I's candles. My Fiance & I will then light the very top center candle together...talk about passing the
torch, eh? =P
Sooooo in a neverending quest to find the perfect Unity Candles I found these AMAZING Flocked Damask Taper Candles. They are hand poured in beeswax and vegetable wax and then hand printed with the flocked Damask Print. They
are stunning!!!!
Check out how they look on my candelabra! I LOVE THEM!!!
Sooooooo, what do ya think?!
Check out these awesome Damask Pillar Candles I got to match our Damask Taper Candles for our Unity Candle Ceremony. =) We're going to put 2 of these Glossy Black Pillar Candleholders on each side of the
Fireplace in the Dancing Room. In the center we're going to put our Candelabra with the matching Damask Taper Candles (see my previous post) =) I LOVE THEM!!!
What do ya think?!
Check out the ring my fiance found and loves. It's so unique and handsome, just like him =) It's awesome and goes with our whole wedding scheme! Me loves! =)
I can't wait to see this ring on him
=)
Aren't we two peas in a pod? =P
So in my search for the perfect Wedding Cake...we have been toying with the idea of having a Nightmare Before Christmas Cake. Our wedding will be a combination of Glossy Black Goodness with Damask and
a touch of Fuschia for a pop of color =) ...and we'll have a very subtle hint of Nightmare Before Christmas throughout.
Sooooooo...we're torn with the idea of doing a Damask type cake or a Nightmare Before Christmas themed cake. We
don't want anything cheesy...but something very tasteful. Well....we found these three amazing cakes!!!
At first you may think it's a lil morbid...but my family knows we're huge Nighmare Before Christmas fans so I don't think they would find it out of the ordinary for us at all =)
The baker we've
been talking with said she could also try to do a mixture of damask with the Nightmare B4 Xmas theme...Check out the Damask Jack Skellington print I sent her for reference =) I also love the black & white silhouetted version of Jack & Sally
=)
What do ya think?!
Check out these awesome Damask Tissues that we'll be using for our Tears of Joy Packets.
We're going to put them in these self-sealing bags for our guests =)
What do ya think?!
We wanted something pretty and versatile that fit with our theme for our placecards. So we found these amazing ornate frames that'll do the trick!
We'll be painting these 3 frames black and the shapes will indicate the different entree selections for our guests =) The guests names will be written inside on cardstock along with their Table Number =)
Here's a potential mock up of one of the finished products =)
Best of all, these frames will double as placecards and a frame to house the guests' favorite photobooth pic =) We're having to hand paint every single one because of all the nooks and crannies...here's hoping they appreciate it =) It truly is a Labor of Love =)
Sooooo, we're debating whether or not we should have them lined up on the corner of the white bar at our reception:
Or if we should do a cool seating chart placed inside this large ornate frame like this and have the mini placecard frames already on the tables at each person's placesetting:
What do you think?!
I absolutely LOVE this Black & Bling Flower Girl basket...but it's a lil on the steep side...especially since my niece will be just barely a year old and who knows if she'll actually carry it down
the aisle. But we'll see! =)
So this past weekend my family & I went to Disneyland and discovered it was actually Bat's Day Weekend. So we took a lil detour off to the Double Tree Hotel to check out The Black Market....and this is where my eyes and hands came upon this GORGEOUS Parasol!!!! =) They're all handmade by a lady who used to live in the French Quarter but who lost her house in Katrina =( She's amazingly talented!!!!
I love all the details on it. There are these beauitiful black/white stripes that will go PERFECT with my 40's inspired Teardrop Fascinator Hat =) I can't wait to see everything all put together! Check it out!!!
What do ya think?!
My Parasol:
My Teardrop Fascinator Hat:
Audrey Hepburn is a HUGE inspiration for me. So it's no wonder that I absolutely fell in LOVE with these Audrey Hepburn "Breakfast at Tiffany's" inspired Bridesmaid dresses =) They will be black just like Ms Hepburn's and I'm thinking about having the ladies wear their hair up in a French Twist like Audrey did in the movie too.
There are gorgeous pleated ruffles along the neckline and down the back along the straps of the dress. I'm also considering getting brooches for the backs of their dresses at the point where the straps meet. We shall see =)
What do ya think?!
So I guess you could say I'm embracing my soon-to-be new initials gracefully =) Check out all the lil goodies I've picked up with my soon-to-be new last name initial =)
Hors d'eouvres Napkins:
We're going to use these for the Tray Passed Hors d'oeuvres that will be served.
Guest Towels: We're going to use these Guest Towels in the Restrooms.
Coasters: We're most likely going to have neat shaped menu cards inside the charger plates and on top of each of the menu's we'll have these pretty Coasters in the center.
Ornate Letter: We may be using this gorgeous letter on our cake table for our Monogram along with an S & W for our First Names.
What do ya think? =)
Sooooo last Saturday the FI, Kristeen & I headed out for our Tasting at the Mediterraneo Restaurant & mmm mmm
mmm it was DELISH!!! Don't mind the lighting. The lights were off and only skylights were letting the sun shine in so it's a lil funky. =)
We tried 2 salads, 3 entrees & bread with spread =)
Sourdough Bread with Olive Tapenade Absolutely delicious!!! LOVE their Tapenade =) A great start to an amazing meal =)
As a surprise we're also going to have Chilean Bread "Pan Amasado". My Mom is going to trip when she sees it =)
Mediterraneo Caesar Salad Hearts of Romaine Topped with Pecorino Dressing, Crostini, and Parmagiano Shavings
This was also delicious. They make the dressing fresh on site and it was a lil too "anchovy-ie" for my taste, but it was still good =)
Panzanella Marinated Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Olives, Red Onions, Fresh Burrata with Rustic Croutons in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fresh Basil, and White Balsamic Vinegar
This salad was awesome and soooooo pretty! It was like a fuschia explosion on the plate! The pix def do not do it justice =) I wasn't crazy about the Burrata
Cheese...but then again I'm not a big cheese person. Other than that it was AMAZING!!! =)
Salmon Organico Pan Roasted New Zealand Salmon Filet with Swiss Chard, Bacon, Israeli Couscous and Roasted Tomatoes
Kristeen & the FI thought it was delicious!!!! I on the other hand am not a fan of fish so I wasn't feeling this dish. (hehe it rhymed) =P But the Israeli Couscous was unbelieveably delicious! =)
Pollo Arrosto Free Range Chicken Slow Roasted in our Wood Fire Oven with Herbs de Provence served with Sautéed Baby Spinach, Fingerling Potatoes and Natural Jus
The FI & I were messing around with different Table Settings & I think we may have them figured out =) We have special chargers for the Bridal Party versus our Guests. Check 'em out
below! There will also be a lil black ornate frame that will have each person's names at their setting to tell them where they're sitting.
Here are the Bridal Party's Place Settings:
Here are the Guests' Places Settings:
(The napkin placement was actually FI's idea) =) He's so creative =)
Here are the Ornate Frame Placecards. There are 3 Different shapes to indicate the Meal Choice Selection which will all be painted black like this one:
Soooo, what do you think?!
I'm soooooooooooooooo excited!!!!! Thank you to the lovely Shenanigans for keeping her lil miracle toes crossed for me!!! Aaaaaaand to the most amazing FI a girl could ask for =) We got the most amazing deal!!! We will be staying at the GORGEOUS Mon Hotel in the Executive Suite =) I can't wait till September!!!!! Check it out!!!
Mon Hotel is one of Paris's most innovative boutique hotels, and its location is just a stroll away from the infamous landmarks everyone loves, namely the Arc de Triomphe and Champs Élysées. Sleek and contemporary, Mon Hotel proves that luxury status can at times be whimsical in its approach to hospitality. Part of Preferred Boutique collection of properties, the hotel hosts just 37 comfortable chambers, concealed behind a townhouse façade. With the turn of a knob, discover a glamorous motif with striking black-and-white prints paying homage to Hollywood's Golden Era and tributes to Marilyn Monroe at every turn. En-suite baths are like petite spas, featuring luxuries such as freestanding tubs and showers that double as steam rooms. In the morning, roll out of bed and assume the role of barista with your very own in-room espresso machine.
The bistro at Mon Hotel is on the sassy side, with aubergine-colored walls, ebony tables and violet fabrics. The food is simple yet satisfying, and is sure to please gourmands. You will also find a spa and fitness center with an equally enticing color palette of purples and chocolates, as well as a legendary steam room that gives the illusion of stepping into van Gogh's Starry Night masterpiece. Best of all, the City of Lights beckons from beyond the lobby - from the iconic Eiffel Tower to the more obscure Père Lachaise Cemetery, the final resting place for such legends as Edith Piaf and Oscar Wilde.
Check out our Room! =)

My Shrug:
My Clutch:

So here's my labor of love...my Table Numbers!!! =) I just LOVE the shape =) The numbers were individually cut out & glittered by hand =) They're UBER sparkly =) These pix definitely do not do them justice =) They're on two pieces of cardstock...one is metallic/pealescent white & the other is matte black.
I'm going to be hanging them on my Manzanita centerpieces. They will be similar to this except I won't be poking holes in mine. I'll post pix when they're all finished =)

Sooooo, what do ya think?!
So I had the most amazing time at my Bridal Shower on Sun, August, 8th at the Gorgeous Boccaccio's Restaurant directly on the Lake in Westlake Village with my closest family & friends =) It was Nightmare Before Christmas themed =)
I worked REALLY hard on all the details. Talk about DIY City!!!! ...from the Menus, Placecards, Centerpieces, Favors, etc =) I was up to my eyeballs in glitter & jewels too from the manzanitas, pumpkins & placecards, etc =)
But it was sooooooooo worth it!!! My family & friends are still raving about it saying it's the most lavish shower they've ever been to and have been telling me ever since that I should seriously consider event design because they were so impressed with all the details & loved how everything flowed so nicely and was so well put together (aww...so sweet!!!) ::blush:: =)
Soooo, what do you think?! I wanted it to capture the essence of Nightmare Before Christmas...but in an elegant way =) I'll post more pix soon! =)
And I cannot say enough about the most AMAZING CAKE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ♥ ♥ ♥ LOVE MY NIGHTMARE CAKE!!!!!!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ =) My.Baker.Rawks!!!!!
Here are some more pix from my special day with my Nightmare Before Christmas Themed Bridal Shower =) It was such a blast!!! =) I had so much fun putting everything together =)
I'm so psyched!!! My AWESOME Baker posted pix of my AMAZING Nightmare Before Xmas Wedding Cake!!!!!
Jack's stripes and Sally's stitches made the perfect marriage on this delicious 6 tiered cake filled with all different flavors consisting of chocolate espresso ganache, red velvet, lemon berry, chocolate raspberry and vanilla berry. The lovely silhouette was handpainted and the GORGEOUS "Wrought Iron" stand was completely handmade and edible!!! The handmade sugar anemones were the perfect finishing touches to this edible masterpiece! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
