Kevin and I were born and raised in Los Angeles County. We met in our high school math class during senior year. Shortly after graduating, we left our hometown to attend UC Berkeley together. He became a software engineer and I became a chemistry instructor. After eight wonderful years together, he asked me to marry him. We had a wedding in Southern California.
