My FI and I met  at a nightclub of all places,I had just moved back to Houston from a stint in Dallas, and was only going out to get out the house,  my friend kept trying to tell me about his friend,(who she knew) I was like ok yeah sooo who's the other one, he's kinda cute. Since we were attending the same party, everyone danced together and we eventually danced to a song, and then went on our merry way. I'm thinking after we danced he was going to ask for my number, he didnt, thought there was a connection, maybe not? !Hmph. After the club closed, I was like oh well and was on my way out the club,and he grabbed my arm,yes! We talked in the parking lot for two hours. The next day he called, and we met the day after at a local gym for a basketball game and we have been inseperable every since. who wudathunkit, on a random night out I would meet my FH, the most loving, genuine, down to earth guy u cud ever meet, and most importantly he loves me for me, no if's and or buts!!

Update 1/14/2010: I got the call, I got the call!!! My dress is in!!

I'm not doing bridal portraits, originally, I thought it was a must do, but now thats ite time, just not feeling it, so I wont have to go in to do my first fitting til May...booo again..I can't wait to see her!!

Update:1/27/2010: I went to the bridal store, i couldnt wait to try on my dress  plus I wanted to know what i would need for the 1st  fitting, and guess what, it fit like a glove, therefore Icant gain a pound, oh my, these next couple of months are  gonna be tough!! I cant post me in the dress because the FI, is always right on my shoulder when Im on PW..but its the Maggie Sottero Fiorella!

Update:11/05/09: the more I see brides with long veils, the more I go back and forth about it. I guess I will just have to wait til my dress comes in, and see which one I like best.

Update: 1/14/10 - I did a pre-wedding chop!!! THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!! New Year, New me!!

Found this hair comb on ebay!!!!! Close enough for me, and at a fraction of the cost! After two auctions, its finally mine...YAAAY!!

 Update: After all the work I put in to purchase the comb. I cant wear it, since i cut my hair...( will have to put  it up for sale, but  oh how I lOVE it so)..SOLD

                     Now to find a flower or fascinator............to be continued - FOUND

We are having the groomsmen buy their suits instead of renting. I feel they would get more bang for there buck, and have a nice suit to wear after the wedding is over.

Update 10/01/09: I ALLOWED FI to go to the store alone with his boys, he comes back with a totally different suit, and different color, more of a charcoal gray, WTH?? We tried on/ agreed on the suit below 2-3 times, he states that there werent enough suits, they have been sold..ok, dude.

So now instead of the light gray that you see below, and in my colors scheme above, we are now doing the CHARCOAL..ok, I'll work with it, he actually found a really nice alternative, best believe I was peeved at first sight, Im ok with it now.

Update 7/8/10 - Since the wedding is over, I can reflect back and say that I'm actually glad that my husband picked the charcoal gray instead, the girls in silver dresses, and them in the light gray, I dont think would have had the same effect with the magenta, the colors were perfect together. Thanks babe!!

I found bridesmaids shoes before I found the dresses...  I also got these for myself as well?! There are Zigi Soho in color Berry!!!

            Update 11/09:: I met with the bakery, and I will have a 4 tier cake, with ribbon and 2 brooches!

                                                   We are definitely jumping the broom.   

Update: 7/8/10 - we actually ended up NOT jumping the broom, I didnt have a clear plan as to how it would even get down the aisle, somehow i thought it would just magically appear I guess! One of my nephews who i didnt include in the wedding party could have easily did this,I  just didnt think through the process! Then my DOC didnt know what it was, just decoration, again, let your DOC know EVERY detail!!

           The ceremony will take place in front of this fireplace, if weather permits, this would ne my ideal look.
