After 5 and a half years of dating (we met jr year in high school) he asked me to marry him! We moved to San Francisco in May. We still had/have a lot to see in the area an thought a great camping trip in September was a must! So while he was at work I packed all of our camping gear and left when he got home. Our trip started with a Packer win at a local bar in Lake Tahoe! Then we decided to go to a ski resort, Northstar, and take the gondola up to the top for a hike, which we do often so I didnt think anything of it. Once we got to the top we began hiking, which seemed like forever trying to find a great view of the lake, but no luck. We then found a great view of the valley on the otherside and FI pulled out his camcorder and set it up on his tripod, (still very normal for him). He asked me to be his focal point so I walked in front of the camera and was goofing around until I saw him hit the record button and walk over by me, got down on one knee and popped the question! He then told me that we would not be camping and took me to a Harveys casino/hotel where his parents had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting, and dinner reservations! It was the most perfect day. We had set the date for about two years and currently planning for the big day.
