WE MET:
When Adam and I met we were in kindergarten. We grew up together all through elementary, middle and high school. In high school we became close friends and gave each other advice on each of our current relationships. After we graduated, the summer between our senior year and freshman year of college we became inseperable and started developing feelings for each other beyond our friendship. However, because our colleges of choice were 6 hours apart we decided to go to college without jumping into a relationship. We remained friends and spent a lot of time together over breaks and talked on the phone almost every night for hours at a time.
AT LAST:
When we were finally both single (conviently within 2 months of each other) we decided to date. Date is such a small word for what we actually had. Adam swept me off my feet within 2 weeks of "dating." We knew each others families before we started dating so we had really no road blocks. Our relationship blossomed into something very serious and we stayed together through our senior year and have been happily in love ever since.
THE PROPOSAL:
Adam propsed in February 2009 in front of my parents, his parents and his sister and her fiance at High Knob Overlook in northern PA, the exact location my parents were married almost 30 years earlier. It was very well planned and I had no idea it was coming. It was freezing cold and I barely remember what he said or what I said, but I know it was and will always be the greatest moment of my/our lives.
Aug 2009 - At Adam's sister's wedding (my MOH, Jen)
Freshman year of college (2003)

AND NOW...
Adam and I live in Columbia, Maryland in a townhouse with our ridiculously overweight cat and our rescue lab pup, Emma. (Before you call PETA, the cat has been on a diet for 3 years and hasn't lost 1 pound! WE TRY!)
24 lb. Isaiah...aka "Hammy" loves drinking milk from my cereal bowls and sleeps on Adam's chest every night
Emma...loves her frisbies, hates ceiling fans and squirrels and I am most definitely her favorite!
They are BFF's
BRIDESMAID DRESSES: JCrew I have 6 bridesmaids, all beautiful lizzadies, but all have different taste in clothing and all have different comfort levels...so, to make everyone happy, I let them choose from these 5 dresses. I think they are all fabulous/adorable dresses.
GROOMSMEN/GROOM SUITS: Navy suits from Tuxedo House in Timonium, Maryland.
Bridesmaid Jewelry: I bought some great necklaces for my lovely BM's from an Etsy seller, FemmePetal aka erin keys http://www.etsy.com/shop/erinkeys
She calls these necklaces her "Carrie" necklace inspired by Carrie Bradshaw from Sex & the City...LOVE IT!
This dress was not love at first sight. The saleswoman actually convinced me to try it on. When we went into the fitting room I decided to immediately try on that dress since I was convinced I would hate it. It had beading (I am not a beading kinda gal) and it had a long train...two things I was NOT looking for. I slipped it on, turned around, looked in the mirror and there I was...in MY dress. It was the very first dress I tried on and I was in love. Before I walked out of the fitting room, I knew it was MY dress. My family and best friend showed me that they immediately agreed. My Mom had tears in her eyes and even my sister cried a little. It was an amazing moment and I cannot wait for my fiance to see it.
