The Proposal

It was DH birthday weekend but he did not let me plan any of the festivities. He just told me to prepare for a day and evening out. We began the day with lunch at Casa del Mar ( my favorite hotel). DH pretended to forget the directions to our next destination so we had to go to his office to pick them up. On our way to his office we met up with his coworker. DH said he would be right back while I talked to his coworker and finally she had to go so she took me to his office. I was greeted by an aisle full of petals, a violinist and DH wearing a suit standing next to a roman pillar with a red rose. He had recreated the rose ceremony from the show the Bachelor. It was so special and moving and exciting. So much more than I ever expected or imagined. After getting on one knee and saying his romantic proposal we enjoyed some champagne and he told me there was one more surprise. He planned a surprise dinner with all of our friends and family at the restaurant where we first met.
