                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Once In A Lifetime ~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tim and I met on yahoo personals 4 1/2 years ago. We talked over the phone for 2 days and decided to meet in person. We talked for hours on end, like we've known each other for years. The next day we watch the Notebook, kissed and for a whole week we were inseparable, it wasnt a surprise when we moved in together in 3 months. Tim is 16 years older and I think the age gap works.  We were in love in no time.
Two years into the relationship Tim was diagnosed of stage 4 cancer. What was thought to be a bad case of flu turned out to be Lymphoma. It took 9 months before we found out it was cancer, Tim was so sick I didn't thought he would make it. Then the chemo treatment, extremely harsh, even worst than cancer, it almost killed Tim, but we had each other and our love saw us through. We hadn't spent enough time with each other yet, we couldn't allow cancer to cut our future short.
January 24, 2008, Tim was finally given a clean bill of health, the extensive chemo took care of the close to 60 tumors that was scattered all over his body, his scans were clear. I was so relieved and happy he is finally well. In fact Tim was so ecstatic and excited about his new lease on life he proposed on Valentines Day! As soon as he found out he was cancer free, he went out to buy the ring. Everyone knew for weeks...except me of course. The proposal was to take place at the beach, only it poured all day that day, so he took me to our favorite restaurant instead. It was our 3rd anniversary, I thought he was just making things extra special and didn't thought of anything else. The plan was... I would go to the ladies room and as soon as I get back to the table Tim would be on his knees, only I didn't go the rest room. So Tim had to ran to the kitchen and entrust the ring to the chef who placed the box on a plate and arranged our dessert around it. As soon as I saw the box, for some reason I thought of ear rings, didn't knew why but that's what I thought I was getting. I opened the box and there was my ring.... exquisite and regal.  I looked at Tim and with tears in his eyes he asked me to marry him. I was crying and nodding my head at the same time. I went to sleep the happiest girl in the world that night.
We had planned on getting married last Nov 1st, but only 4 months into remission, Tim's cancer came back with a vengeance. This time though, he refused chemo and opted for unconventional treatment. Three months into self treatment, Tim is once again cancer free. So here we are... finally getting on with the wedding planning.
Our situation is different from everyone else, Tim's disease is incurable and every time it comes back it comes back even stronger. But no matter what happens, we want to celebrate LIFE, LOVE and best of all EACH OTHER.... I cant wait to walk down that aisle and marry my Timmy.
