He proposed to me on the evening of our six year anniversary. We went to Monterey for our anniversary, spent some time at the aquarium and cannery row, ate dinner at a fancy french restaurant called Fresh Cream, and then went back to our beach-front hotel suite which had a living room with stone floors, a fireplace, and a view of the ocean. He poured two glasses of wine and gave me an anniversary gift - a book describing our six years together, pictures of all the memories we've shared, and the reasons why he loves me.
At the end of the book he said, maybe you can help me fill in the picture on the last page.... and then he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. =)

wow!!! what a similar story! I actually just got engaged sept 5 on our 3rd year anniversary and we were sitting on a balcony on a beautiful sunset and my fiance gives me a book that he made of ourselves from when we first started to date till now. He put pictures and wrote a nice poem/story. At the end of the book it says "now here is your real surprise" he gets down on one knee and asks me! I then freak out and hours later he tells me to look at the book again and the last page says... Happily ever after. =-D Congrats!! |
That is the sweetest guy ever! I know it's 2 years ago now, but did you know it was coming?
