Here is the best day of my life in pictures. I always said that when I updated my bio after I got married, I wanted to have so many pictures that way the person looking at my bio would feel like they were there. It took a lot of time but I hope I accomplished that and was able to show what our wedding day was truly like. I miss planning, I miss that day, so future brides enjoy this time because it does go by so fast. The one thing I can truly say is planning was all worth it because I truly had a blast on my wedding day. I wish that all for you too. Happy Planning! :)

The night before was obviously our rehearsal dinner. That went extremely well except for the fact that Sean’s parents paid to book the upstairs of the restaurant and other patrons were there! It was annoying! However, Sean’s dad did say that it must have been a blessing in disguise b/c the patrons were hogging up the bar and due to this our bridal party had to order a drink each time they wanted one instead of just going up to the bar. This saved them a bunch of money, LOL. Besides that everything was perfect! Oh wait, Sean made a CD for our ceremony and when our sound technician was trying to play the music during the rehearsal, we found out that for some reason it couldn’t be read and no music was coming out. Sean had to have that done as soon as he got home. He was stressing, lol. Oh and I forgot two of my BMs gifts and I felt terrible. I had to give it to them the day of. So besides that everything was perfect, haha. Here is a pic of Sean and me at the rehearsal dinner.
After the rehearsal dinner, my MOH and I drove to the airport to pick up our sorority sister (BM). Once we got her we went to the suite and talked and giggled until we fell asleep. It was so much fun!
I slept for about 6 and a half hours and once I was up I couldn’t go back to sleep. So I just prayed to God to help make the day go smooth, etc. My MOH woke up and we talked until it was time to shower and eat breakfast. DHs sister called to tell me that they were running late to go to the salon but that was OK b/c I told them to meet us earlier then was needed. If you need your girls at 9am tell them that you need them at 830am! It worked perfectly for me, lol. We got our hair done and then headed back to the suite to get our makeup done. That went great and before you knew it the photographer and videographer arrived to start taking pictures of me and my girls getting ready.
Soon it was time for our first look and it was so amazing to finally see Sean.
He kept on telling me how gorgeous I looked and how much he loved my dress. He was like; I’ve never seen such a sexy wedding dress before, lol. Then he started talking about the bpics and how he was
in shocked and when did I do them? Etc. etc. He LOVED it! We took pics together and then it was time for our limo to arrive to take us to our photo location with our bridal party.
It was a bit breezy and my girls were so grateful for the pashminas. We did our pictures and then we were off for our ceremony. I can remember every detail of our ceremony b/c all the anxious or butterfly feelings
were disolved with the first look. It was so special and all night our guests came up to me to talk about things they loved. It was a great feeling to realize that people cried during our ceremony.
My favorite memory of our ceremony was when our officiant called my parents and my ILs over to pray for us and our marriage. My dad is a bishop and my mom a pastor so it was really special. The six of us
held hands in a circle and even Sean got teary eyed. It was the best thing! We were soon announced husband and wife and James Browns’ “I feel good”
came on and you could hear our guests laugh. It was great. We did family photos which my photographer stated was the quickest she had ever been done with them. Small families = less time spent on
family pictures! We were able to make the last half an hour of cocktail hour and the room looked just like I imagined. Actually more! It was great to see everything and everyone come
together. It was a blast. I do remember when I walked in I was a bit surprised to see our centerpieces. They had roses sticking out of them. I was like, what the freak?
I wanted short centerpieces with no random pieces sticking up. Shortly, one of my gfs came up to me to tell me that each female guest was giving a rose upon arrival and what I was seeing was actually the roses that they
themselves had stuck into the centerpieces. Oh ok! Good! Hahaha. Here is a pic to let you see what they looked like after my guests got to my beautiful centerpieces,
lol. I hated it!
The only things that went wrong that day were that there was a missing boutonnière for
one of our GMs. So the ring bearer ending up not getting his b/c we figured it was better for the ring bearer to go without instead of the GM. There was also no aisle runner at the ceremony which we also
paid for so we will be sure to get refunded. I was also regretting using delphiniums and dahlias in the bouquets but now they are growing on me. They could have been a lot worse but just wasn’t exactly
what I was expecting. If your florists provide a free trial take them up on it to ensure that what you think you want is exactly what you envision in your head. The reception was so much fun and our guests were on the dance floor all night!
The chocolate fountain was a huge hit and the food was amazing. My favorite part of the reception was the dance off between Sean and his GM. It was seriously the funniest thing I have ever
seen! Our guests were dying with laughter! We truly had a blast! I am so happy to finally be
married to Sean! It seriously was the best day of our lives.
We stayed at Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica. We had the most amazing time!
My name is Faith and my fiance's name is Sean. We met in college through one of my bridesmaids (Nawal) who started dating Sean's friend (Rusty) and wanted to introduce me to Rusty. That night I actually don't remember meeting Sean. After that meeting we never talked and honestly pretty much forgot that Sean even existed. Fast forward to 4 years: Sean is going through Rusty's myspace page and comes across me and calls up Rusty and asks about me. Lucky for Sean, he learns that I live five minutes away from where he moved to a couple of months ago. He myspaces me and we send messages back and forth. I do not remember him but it was nice to talk to someone who went to the same school as I. I called up Nawal to ask about him and she reminds me. She said, don't you remember that night I brought you to meet Rusty and you met Sean. I was like no. She goes, you don't remember yelling at me all night because I gave Sean your dorm number and he proceeded to call you all night and you finally pulled out the cord. Haha, for some reason THAT I actually remember. Needless to say, Sean and I met up after a month of emailing and we have been together ever since. It is funny (to me at least) that whenever Sean wears his cap backwards I actually remember seeing him around in college and can't believe I am marrying that a$$wipe who made me so mad that night!
We got engaged in Vegas on September 12th 2008 in a casino! Pretty exciting and def. embarrassing at the same time since everyone was staring, lol. It was a total surprise and it took me a while to say yes because I was in so much shock! At one point Sean actually says, "Say yes or no because my knees are killing me!" Of course I said, "YES!" I cannot wait to be married to Sean! :)
Pictures of the night we got engaged!! :)
True representation of our colors is this picture:
Navy blue and grey with accents of shades of pale to bright pinks. Pink will be seen through our flowers, FGs dress, RB's tie and FI's tie).
UPDATE: I've decided to add pearls as an accent also. I've noticed that I am loving pearls, anything pearl. After I bought my cake cutting set with the handles all pearls I decided to try to incorporate pearls into stuff as much as I can! =)
My dress was a Michael Nolte gown called Sapphire.
Here are some pics of my french bustle

The bracelet from Dana Saylor on Etsy, the earrings bought on amazon.com, the Clutch from J-Crew and hair flower purchased on Etsy by JMGJewelDesign!
I found a picture today with a bride who has my exact same hair flower!!! I love it!!! I took out the feathers in my flower b/c I didn't really care for it.

Purchased a Navy Blue Pashmina for myself since I am getting married in November and Upstate NY weather in November is def. chilly! I will only wear it for some pics outside as I doubt I would really want to cover up my dress! :)
Update: Although, it was very breezy that day, I hardly wore my pashmina. It was almost as thought I was warm all through my body b/c of all the excitement.

The FGs dress is in! It is great quality and gorgeous in person. If you are still looking for a FG dress, I would recommend you checking out their huge selection.
Wedding Day
My FGs headband which I purchased from Sparkle060509! Thanks Sparkle!
All my MOHs/BMs will wear navy blue dresses with grey stilettos. The GM will wear grey vest & tuxedos with navy blue ties. FH will also wear a grey vest but with a pink tie.
I want a mixture of blue, white and pink flowers. It has been decided that my bridesmaids will have light pink roses and blue delphinium placed sparingly in the bouquet with a pink wrap. My matrons of honors will have light pink roses and light pink dahlias with a pink wrap. I originally wanted peonies for my flowers but they are out of season during my wedding month and will cost an arm and leg! ;) There are some roses who have the fullness of peonies, so we'll see!!! I wanted my bouquet to be all white and full until I saw Tia Mowry's wedding bouqet. My bouquet will be a mixture of light and dark shades of pink. I didn't realize that there are so many shades of pink but I guess there are. I will have 24 roses plus light pink dahlias in my bouquet and a grey wrap. I purchased the initial pins from Michaels which will be pinned onto the stems of each BM and will look for a pearl & diamond brooch to pin onto my stem. My FG will have a mini-bouquet. I told the florist to be creative and just surprise me with something cute for her.
Below is a picture of my sister in the BMs dress. Really excited on how flattering it looks! :)

Instead of tying the sash that comes with the dress into a bow I will be buying all the girls a brooch w/pearls & do what the bride below did with her sash.

UPDATE: Brooches were purchased on Sammoon.com. Great prices!
BMs Brooches
MOHs Brooches
EDIT: Two of my MOHs purchased the shoe below for the wedding! They had no clue that each other bought it! How weird! :)
My two younger sisters chose two of the shoes below.
My BMs won't have to wear the same shoes and they can be all shades of grey as long as it isn't silver. (Silver reminds me of prom, lol) Here is a picture that shows the look I am going for:

The pic below is what the grooms men & FI will wear. We were originally going to go with the Calvin Klein grey tuxedo but when we went into the tux shop we were advised that since the Calvin Klein tux is a couple of years old it has had some usuage from other weddings. And since the Jean Yves is newer it will be in better condition for our November wedding. I didn't have to think too much about this aspect and quickly switched!!! Great thing I love this one even more than the Calvin Klein one!!! ;)

Went a lil crazy taking pics of our rings on our HM. They finally came out good enough!!! :)
We just took them last night and my photog. already sent teasers!! So happy with them!
UPDATE: Received our CD so bio updated with new pics! :)

I had such a great time! I seriously have the best friends and family! :)

MOH in jewerly set on wedding day: BM in jewerly set on wedding day:
Flip flops for my BMs & MOHs purchased at Old Navy's $1.00 flip flop sale. I blinged them out and my girls absolutely loved the gesture. They all purchased pretty high stilettos so I didn't want them not to dance b/c their feets were killing them.
Brooches to go on their dress sashes purchased on Sammoon.com
Edit: Brooches arrived and they are perfect! If you are looking for gorgeous, inexpensive, sparkly brooches def. check out sammoon.com. I love them & the best part is that they matched my BMs jewerly perfectly!!!
Bought each of my ladies grey pashminas since we are getting married in November and I do not want my best gals to freeze while taking pics outdoors!
I also bought totes that I ironed on their initials. I developed a picture of each BM with me which I placed in a frame and will place all their gifts in their totes pictured below. I hope they like them.
Also, bought Lindt chocolates since all my girlies love chocolate!
Here is a picture of two of the totes that I bought from http://sacksandsuch.com/Port-Authority-Essential-Tote-Bag/M/B000O2QADK.htm for such a great price! I bought them in grey, navy blue and pink.
For bridal shower thank yous I got each of my girls a shower gel from Bath and Body works and wrote in a card, "I hope your shower is as great as mine was!" Put them in this cute little pink bag I found at the dollar store! I bought my MOHs a lil something extra, Burt Bees lip stuff. They loved it! =)
FI bought an awesome beer mug for each of his groom men. Instead of putting their names on it, he decided to put their nicknames on the mug. So instead of Eric he put "Biggie" lol. It actually came out really cool. I hope they like the gifts too.
We were trying to think of something unique and special we could do for our parents since they already have EVERYTHING! We came across JaveJaneDesigns on etsy and decided to get a frame of our parents last names and underneath it put their wedding dates. The cool thing about the names on the frame is that it is a architectural photographs that are artfully arranged together to spell a name, a word, or an idea. Here are pics of what the gift looks like but picture it framed.
Along with light and dark pink roses I will also have light pink dahlias in my bouquet.
Purchased my brooch for my bouqet stem from sammoon.com since I was so impressed with the quality of my BMs brooches. Purchased the same one as my MOHs but in white.

This is what I have decided on after my consultation yesterday (09/02/2009) ... can't wait for my trial on 10/23/2009! :)
Update: We ended up having my hair like the picture below on my wedding day b/c it worked better on my hair than the one above:
Wedding day hair:
From Nicole at Pinkdesignevents!!! She is amazing to work with! Can't wait for the finished product since I am not actually getting married in LA, this was just a rough draft.
Design was uploaded to Vista Print and it came out amazing. FH was pretty impressed and believe me it is HARD to impress him!! I really want to send them out NOW. LOL.
Thanks to WhitneyWoods2B, I was able to find GEDesigns on etsy to create our table numbers for us.
Our ring pillow that I added a brooch on.
I have the Michael initial keychains that I will have my florist pin to my BMs stems like this:

Our centerpieces will be roses and hydrangeas in all shades of pinks in a square vase surrounded by candles in votives.
What it looked like day of
1.) My best advice is to stick to the budget. This was the best decision DH and I made. It is so nice to be finished with the wedding and not have to pay one single bill after it. Make a budget and stick to it. If you go over in one area, make sure to go lower in another area. If you do not believe you will be truly upset with yourself if you don't have something at your wedding after your wedding, don't stress it if it is not in the budget! Have the wedding you can afford.
2.) Don't let friends and family sway you. Have your wedding represent you and your DH. When you look at pictures in the future it will be more satisfying to know that this was truly your wedding and not your friends or families. If you regret something you did do in the future at least it is something you wanted to do at that time and not the other way around.
3.) Do not compare yourself to other weddings. It is very hard to do that on a site like Project Wedding but it will only stress you out. Wedding planning is already stressful as it is. You may not have the best photographer or the most expensive gown so work with what you do have and make it amazing.
4.) The wedding is one day; the marriage is a lifetime commitment. Remember to take a breather every once in a while to reflect what the planning is truly all about.
5.) Make sure your FI and you are on the same page! This will help squash any unpleasant drama along the way!
6.) Enjoy planning! It is a great time in your life and before you know it, it's all over!
7.) Get a videographer! We didn't get a fancy one at all but let me tell you how DH and I were glued to our televison last night. It was SO amazing to watch the whole day unfold. The video made us laugh, cry, hug ... It was worth it to have it. So many things we missed or forgot but the video caught it for us. It was unbelievable. I want to watch it right now as I type. So it is something that most don't put in their budget but I would recommend that you do. Like I said, my video is not fancy at all like the amazing ones you see on PW. Just the footage and music in the background but it is so worth it to have b/c it is OUR wedding in video. We will watch it every anniversary and we get to show our children the actual day ... how we moved, danced and laughed. It truly was the best feeling last night! :)
