Any advice for those planning now?
You don’t need to have a ton of money to create a beautiful and unique wedding. Think creatively and start early! Some of my favorite pieces of my wedding were those that didn’t hardly cost a thing. And if you are a creative soul (or have crafty friends!) add in as many little home-made details that you can to make it truly reflect YOU.
One of the coolest things for me now is to have so much great documentation of my wedding day. To have so many great pictures and video footage that I will keep with me forever…and pass on to my kids. That is one thing i’d tell all “bride to be’s”….to not skip out on filming parts of the day or hiring a good photographer! The day goes by too quickly and I am able to re-live those memories through photos!

Proposal
He asked, and she said yes...
or was it the other way around?
However it happened..
January 1, 2010..9:23pm Ph time, 4:23 am LA time...yes we are miles away when he proposed. I was in the Philippines. It's funny but he wanted to do it, his main goal and the main essense is, he doesn't want to let go the new year without telling me, will you..
via skype: (he did tried to call me but the lines were busy)
(The basics)
All wordings are approximate.
him: are you ready?
her: huh?..ready for what?
him: baby...it seems i've benn looking for you all my life and im glad i finally found you. You make so happywhen we're together and i long for you every second that were apart. i can honestly say that i think about you all the time and dont want to be without you. Mayet..I LOVE YOU and will you please do me the honor of being my WIFE???
(giggling..Ooohhh man, im in heaven)
her: wow..very poetic....not plagiarized?
(hahaha..i know...im supposed to answer him the right word, what the heck i answered this, coz one time he asked me if i really did the poem for him...it's over friendster and there's no way i could retrieve it)
The E - RING
Petite Solitaire Engagement Ring in Platinum and a 1.0-carat Diamond
3 hours delayed flight , another 2 hours stuck at the immigration 35 minutes driving home..and a total mess day for me..That was my day ended before the 2nd proposal.
We we're at hisroom at that time and He asked me to lay down on bed but told him i really needed a shower...
I thought when he did said to lay down, is we're going to sleep coz it was almost past 12 in the midnight.
Then when i attemp to go in our bed, a cutie little teddy bear with a red ring box on the bear beside it.It gave me a hint that it was the e-ring, when i opened it, there's nothing inside but a note saying, "hold my hand and get the prize", then i did, and i felt something on the teddy bears hand, i thought the teddy bear is holding the ring..lol..accidentally i pressed something on it, then the teddy bear suddenly said .."baby, will you be my wife forever?" the voice was him...oooohh my..when i look at him, on bended knees,he was already holding the ring...aaaww..for the second time around, he did proposed...yeah..
he kissed me and answered him back YES ten times...that was an awesome prize.oooppss and one more thing that i really like is the wordings he used.."will you be my wife forever?" instead of will you marry me?..i like it coz it's a lifetime commitment and he's mine forever''
our main soul witness
After he proposed and several months had passed, i started go over PW again and found this inspirational pictures and unique ideas. For me they are perfect for my wedding, and i just love it.=)
Flora
i like roses a lot especially the bloody red one but when i found the cally lily (below), now i switched to it and wanted calla lily for my bouquet or a combination of two.
i so adore the perfect combination of this flowers and it inspires me that i choose the tones of something brown and red as the color of my wedding...i can't deny it, they look awesome.
this one is so fabulous..swooon...it's actually a burgundy and red calla lily.
tones of colors
here are my wedding colors..brown..(beige or brown, light or dark, champagne or choco..with a twist of maroon)..it's my first and last tick of hues and not to alter on any other colors.
Brown: A natural, neutral color of the earth, brown represents wholesomeness and dependability. Symbolizing comfort and contentment, brown represents honesty. Just right for your wedding day, brown is substantial, steady and responsible. From rich chocolate and dark coffee to cream and soft beige, this earthy shade can be intense or pale, dramatic or modest.
any variants of red..maroon
Red: A passionate,
romantic choice, red is impulsive and outgoing. Depicted as zealous and ambitious, red symbolizes love and rage. Whether it denotes joy, celebration, happiness or prosperity, red elicits a dramatic response from both sides of the emotional spectrum. Red lovers tend to be restless and optimistic and go along with people with uncomplicated natures. A powerful selection, red is sure to represent a fiery hostess with 'look at me' flair.
nude and champagne colors

i like this idea of table settings, it's stressful free and i dont have to both that table settings of every guest and everyone need not to bother to look for their seat number too.

Finally..yay.. months ago , it was really a huge problem whether to choose lake Tahoe over Las Vegas for our wedding..now it's been answered. Now we have the place for the reasons, las vegas is a lot closer from L.A. and im positive that all our guest are present and thats one thing im after.Lake Tahoe is just there, waiting for our mini moon or yearly family escapades..I know i regret not choosing Lake Tahoe, and the place is absolutely sooo lovely..but what the heck,,it's more than 8 hours drive and we can't afford the plane ticket for everyone.
For our Wedding, FI and I choose the Traditional Ceremony. Yay, our wedding will be broadcast live for eight hours immediately following our wedding, for friends and family to watch.
Number of our Guest: 48 adultsand 7 kids..and positive all are present.
For the Ceremony, we choose:

Victorian Inspired Chapel
It's a traditional chapel adorned with velvet draperies, neutral-colored alter sprays and pew markers, crystal chandeliers, marble floors, and mahogany pews. Vintage theme + Victorian inspired chapel = awesome and perfect.
Seats up to 30 guests.
Additional Information:
Private Lobby
Minister Meeting Room
Private Restroom
Equipped with 3 High Definition Video Cameras
Live Internet Broadcasting available
Skype equipped for virtual guest
We change venue coz Victorian Chapel can only accomodate 30 guest..Here's our new ceremonial venue, its still within the Chapels of Flower and i think i like this one cos of the glass canopy. Yay, notice something common?..yes, our ceremonial and reception venues are both Venetian Inspired.

La Capella (VENETIAN INSPIRED)
With Tuscan-inspired décor, La Capella is beautifully designed with Venetian-style walls, earth tone alter sprays and pew markers, mahogany pews, marble floors, charming stone archways, intricate wrought iron wall sconces and matching chandeliers. Plus, the Grand Exit is the perfect setting for a flower shower.
Capacity:
Seats up to 70 guests

Kissing Bridge
A favorite photo spot for over 20 years, the Kissing Bridge floats over a river rock bottom pond, accompanied by a rustic waterwheel, wishing well, and lush landscaping.
For the Reception : (VENETIAN INSPIRED)
(Canaletto @ Las Vegas)

Indulge yourself in gourmet fantasy with an abundant of fresh seafood, grill specialties and house-made pastas. Private dining rooms will give our party an intimate setting while overlooking the action of the piazza at St. Mark's Square.
We'll be having a private dinner with family and relatives and so no need for me to exert so much effort to do what other ladies been busy working on like, the decorations. We want to splurge everything for their tummy
.
.
i love the ambiance outside, i'ts going to be like an italian inspired wedding.
What's on Menu
Canaletto writes:
Our menus are developed collectively by the company's two-dozen Italian chef-partners and are based on authentic Italian recipes. Emphasis is placed on simple, fresh ingredients and Italian cooking methods. Rotisseries are used for variety of preparations. Pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven. Fresh pastas are made in-house daily and our dried pastas are imported from Italy. All meals are complemented by a selection of hand-made breads baked according to traditional methods.
Served at every Il Fornaio restaurant, the core lunch and dinner menus include a selection of antipasti, soups, salads, wood-fired pizza, housemade pastas, grilled and rotisserie roasted meats and a wide variety of desserts.
October 23, 2012, Fi andher sister had the food tasting at our venue, This time my FI decides on what courses of food we like for our menu.
Indeed. Afterfter
several months of searching online, weeks of window shoppings and days of going back and forth on some dress shop, i found her at TRENDY TOO by Madeline Gardner for Mori Lee......it;s the way i wanted, ivory, lace and classical..just soo
perfect and i love it...and most of all its cheaper compare to some other gowns i've tried..how much?..it's $350...ssshhhhh
I love my dress but the only problem is it needs alterations to achieved the dress that i've been dreaming...well i save a huge amount instead of paying another $150 on a professional dress shop, why not....i DIY.=)
before and aftermath
the mark where i supposed to cut for the hem.. .i think that's quite long enough!!
me on action with my self timer cam.=)
i cut the outer layer like 3 inches the lace part near the waistline coz my dress is bit longer.
im just thankful i knew how to do sewing.
