The day started out early (7am) where Angelina and a couple of other girls from All Made Up Team came to do our hair and make up at the Cerritos Sheraton. They were very professional, on time, and listened to what we wanted for our hair/makeup. (I decided to get rid of the flower/feather for the ceremony).
We got married at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts. It was a very unique and amazing venue. The staff at CCPA were wonderful. They made sure we had everything we needed and we were able to use both the Lobby and Sierra Room for the whole day. We also had the option of bringing in our own food from an outside caterer.
My shoes-- my something blue. I bought these shoes from Nine West and added a shoe clip from Shoeworthy (http://shoeworthy.com/). It is called Sparkle. My dress is from Maggie Sottero- Paigely. I bought it at Jinny's Bridal-- awesome place to buy a dress but not to get it altered. Earrings from Nadri which I purchased at Nordstroms. I also put some sparkley hair pins inside the bun part of my hair which I purchased from a vendor at the mall (one of those cart stores.) My veil (catherdral length) was from downtown LA. I also had a second simple one which my tailor gave to me.
Our photographer came from Harvard Photography. They were awesome-- came on time at stayed late even though he should have gone home.. He made sure he got many artistic shots and took many pictures. Here are a few of the venue, our family, and the day.
Getting ready... with my bridesmaids-- we purchased their dresses in downtown LA for $55 each. Such a steal. The store was called Ellen and it's on Maple Ave. I also purchased their earrings and bracelete in downtown LA.
The boys rented their tux from Friar Tux. The good thing about Friar Tux is that they give you a discount if you rent more than 4 tuxes. They also allow you to pick up the tux at any Friar Tux (you have to designate it) and you can return it to any one of them. It helps if your groomsmen live in different cities so they can pick up and return their tuxes at their leisure.
Our florist was Flower Allie-- she did an amazing job! She did exactly what I wanted for our bouquets and the flowers were so fresh. She also decorated our venue and made it look amazing. She worked with me to come up with a concept and bring my vision to fruition. I wanted something simple, elegant, romantic, and beautiful. Flower Allie transformed the Grand Lobby into something beyond what I imagined. The flowers from the ceremony were used for the reception which saved me money. She also decorated the cake (which was provided by the caterers) and brought a lot of extra rose petals for the tables. For the head table, she put a thick layer of rose petals and my coordinator put lots of candles.
The Ceremony
I walked down the stairs for added drama so that I could have my "moment." I wanted to make sure I smiled and not cry like crazy "for fear of the ugly crying face." I was fine up until hugging my parents-- that's when I lost it.
For our recessional-- our wedding coordinator had people pop streamers. It was so much fun! We also picked out songs that were not traditional wedding songs-- we picked songs from Vitamin String Quartet-- they have songs like Everlong by Foo Fighters and songs by U2 or Coldplay.
Our Reception- we had it in the Sierra Room which is adjacent to the Grand Lobby. We had an open bar from the Patina Group as well as a Photobooth from Cheesy Photobooth. This was a hit. I bought some props from the 99cent store and Target. Our guests had a blast. They took pictures home in an envelope that was created by our stationaire-- Cake and Milk Paperie. They put one copy of the pictures in a scrapbook. Cheesy Photobooth brought all the scrapbook supplies.
We also decided to do the traditional Korean ceremony called paebaek. We had our hanboks made but rented the paebaek things from NaKwon Caterers who also did our food. They also supplied the silverware, napkins, linens, chair covers and sashes. They also brought the cake.

We came up with a schedule of the day and she tweaked it and gave suggestions regarding how realistic it would be. Highly recommended!!!
