Amir and I met about 3 years ago.. ironically at a Persian restaurant. We both happened to be there for completely separate birthday parties of family members when he spotted me across the room and decided to come talk to me. We have been inseperable ever since...
We will be having a Persian/Egyptian wedding to represent both of our cultures. The sofreh-aghd is a major part of the Persian Wedding Ceremony. The bride and groom sit at the sofreh during the ceremony. The items placed on it have deep symbolic meanings. Items include a mirror, which represents the bright light of the future of the couple, sweets and honey, to keep the couples life together sweet, and painted eggs for fertility.
the dress is by winnie couture in ivory with gold embroidery and swarovski crystals. i had tried on about 50 dresses prior to seeing this one online and never had that "moment". when i saw this one online, i pretty much knew it was the one. as soon as i tried it on.. it was love :) cant wait for her to arrive!!
