ok so ive gone a differant direction for my invites. im embellishing them on my own. we are ordering from www.mygatsby.com

we will be stamping the ecru pocket folder with chocolate ink, invitation card in chocolate with gold ink, direction in jellybean green with chocolate ink, and rsvp card w/ envelope in gold leaf with chocolate ink. i will be embellishing the inside flap of the pocket folder with a custom stamp being made at www.etsy.com. see above. the stamp will be in chocolate to match the ink on the folder.

*** "chowbaby", thank you for the eyeopening suggestion to check them out***

so yeah, i have a ton of tattoos and though im not one bit ashamed of them, i do feel a certain moral responsibility to cover them for a wedding in a church and out of respect for those in my family who dont peticularly care for them. yeah i know, i know, its my wedding. but yeah its my decision to do this as well. so that said, i need a dress to cover my arms and legs. i have a few options for that. the first is a lace sheath and have a satin or silk dupioni wrap jacket made to compliment it. as seen in pics 1 and 2 below. the other option is to do the oposite, go with a satin sheath that has a matching wrap and use the wrap as lining for a lace wrap jacket. oh yeah and to govern all my decisions, dum dum dum dum is a budget! ugh

ok chicks, an update...

i found a dress i love. it comes in natural and its gorgeous. here is the pic in blue. im just not sure if its too fancy for morning.

still cant make up my mind i like this one too but it needs 3/4 sleeves

and this one in an ivory shade ,with out the flower.

yeah so obviously ive not decided on a color to complement the green and ecru im leaning towards. maybe an orangy peach shade, or a pink.. ugh!!!

a casual wedding by no means needs a tux. so we have thought about a great milk chocolate colored suit.

we decided that instead of the traditional multi level cake, we would do several diameters and heights of round cakes covered with fondant or exposed layers and topped with icing. we are going to used vintage cake pedestals such as crystal or milkglass (see pics) and elevate them at differant levels on the cake table. this will also allow us to provide several differant flavors and looks for our guests.

we like the pic with multiple layers for finish, but like above stated, seperate them from each other.

I work in an upscale jewelry store and my FI let me pick out my own settings and diamond. i chose a 1.5ctr and a 3 piece set with 2 wg bands and one yg band in which the dia is mounted.
i am so stoked as its my own creation!
this is Jake's ring below, florentine finish titanium band 6mm. the florentine finish is kinda like the finish you might see on a metal nail file.

The invites for our engagement party came from www.vistaprint.com. the first image is the front of the card, and the second is the back of the card. they are A-2 with matching envelopes, printed and return addressed. sooo cheap!!

i ordered 20 invites for less than 30 bucks with shipping!

ok so as you can see, i dont want bling or embelishment of any kind. the bow is kinda pushing it for me. a basic d'orsay pump, or a peep-toe pump is perfect. i still haven't decided what color i will dye them. probably just a light ivory or a gold color.

i am wearing yellow, grey and white SouthSea pearls on my neck and wrist with white studs. maybe a golden yellow!!
