b is a consultant working for a software startup. i work as a product marketing manager for a software company in the silicon valley.

b loves to play card games while i prefer to paddle the ocean waters. one of us is a geek while the other is a nerd.

thank goodness we both have an appreciation for reading, movies, friends and good tv. and now our newfound hobbies include learning how to care for our front and backyard and how to cook. :)

b and i met through an acquaintance. we had a quiet chemistry that deepened into a wonderful friendship and partnership. we compliment each other -- i am outgoing, he is the homebody. he is a great saver and i am known to shop. i love chocolate, he loves apple pie. we've found that despite these differences, our core values are very similar.

we're looking forward to spending the rest of our lives together and sharing the experiences God will be gifting us.

it was a big surprise. what i thought would be a casual reconnaissance excursion about buying diamonds turned into him purchasing the ring right then and there!

although we'd been discussing marriage, i seriously didn't expect him to propose for another year or so. i was very nonchalant at the jewelry store -- so much that the sales woman (a very nice lady) thought i was b's sister instead of girlfriend. it didn't help that we were both dressed super casually for such a pretty and refined jewelry store -- i think the sales staff didn't expect us to make a purchase that day. :)
