DIY Bubble Magnet Favors photo 1  DIY Bubble Magnet Favors photo 2

My friend made some of these as x-mas gifts and I thought they were so cute!  Here's how I did it:

Supplies (all from Joann Fabric):

Modge Podge glue, E-6000 glue, photos, large marble accents (the glass bubble things...they are about 1 1/2 inches around), ceramic magnets (.75 inch), and a 1 inch hole punch

  1. Resize your photos on www.photobucket.com or with photoshop.  The quality isn't that great when photos are shrunk, but it's still pretty good.
  2. I got a 1 inch hole punch, but it is a little too small for the photos so I hand cut them.  The 1 inch punch is used later.
  3. Use a paint brush to brush the Modge Podge glue over top of the photo and affix it to the flat part of the bubble. The glue might look foggy, but it will dry clear.  The bubbles aren't perfect, so there are little spots sometimes, but I still think it looks cute.
  4. Use the hole punch to cut a blank white circle and glue that to the back of the photo (this helps the glue that you put on the magnet from seeping through onto the photo).
  5. After that is dry, put some E-6000 glue on the magnet.  Wait 2 minutes and then press the magnet onto the white circle on the back of the bubble.

That's it!  We are going to give one to each guest along with breast cancer awareness candy in honor of my friend Jill and our grandmothers.
