I have spent quite a bit of time putting this together so I hope it is helpful to brides interested in Pasadena City Hall.

Tudor and I met in Boston in 2005 during his senior year at MIT and my sophomore year at Simmons.
-our ceremony and reception site (City Hall) has been an icon of Pasadena since 1927 and is considered "one of the most distinctive public buildings in the u.s".
-my videographer (well spun) manipulates the film to create a 8mm/homevideo
look.
-our first song is now La Mer by Charles Trenet since Bobby Darin's "Beyond the Sea" is too fast to dance to.
Our ceremony will take place in the rotunda (entrance) and the reception will take place in the courtyard. The building is finally complete after a three year renovation of $118 million. It is especially gorgeous at night!
We got our wedding bands from Ross Simons. Luckily, my former elementary school principal/boss gave me an amazing discount as she is a seller for Ross-Simons. She even had better diamonds put in as a gift. My wedding band isnt exactly like the picture since it doesnt go all the way around. It goes about 3/4 of the way around. His is a 6mmMen's Milgrain Wedding Band.
The cake will actually have three tiers with blue and peach flowers. I love the delicate design.
Wedding freakout: The baker did an amazing job with the piping, however I was a bit surprised by the cake decorator as I asked for only peach flowers to be placed on the cake. The cake, to my surprise, was multicolored. But, no one really knew what it was supposed to look like so I guess it was fine. A very minor thing to complain about considering that almost everything went incredibly well! Besides, it tasted AMAZING.
It took me about 20 minutes to find my dress once I entered the store. For me, the dress wasn't the most important part of the process. However, once I put on the veil, everything really came together!

These are the gifts i got for my 4 bms from different vendors on etsy. I didn't want to get them matching things since their personalities are so different.
This is the style, but the vest will not be "banana". Instead it is this tux with an ivory vest and tie.

We had an amazing 2 week honeymoon to the Big Island and Kaui.

My party was hosted by my best friend (bm) and my sister (moh). The display was gorgeous and looked like it came from a martha stewart magazine spread. The food was gourmet and delicious. We had a great time playing games at my bm's house and then they surprised me by going out (my sister was only 19 at the time, but she just used my id to go to the bar)!
Here are a few pictures: July 2008

We decided to have an impromptu cocktail party the night before the wedding at the Pasadena Yard House since 80% of our guests were from out of town. It was a great idea except that many of my guests wanted to eat dinner (I had not anticipated this) and we ended up waiting for 1.5 hours to get 3 different tables. Nonetheless, it was so fun!

All of our friends from Simmons, MIT, and Harvard came to celebrate!

In May 2008, my then fh took me to Niagara Falls and we stayed at the Brock Plaza (now called the Crowne Plaza).
We had a great dinner and
cocktails then headed to this ferris wheel where he proposed!! He was so nervous (especially since he's also afraid of heights). Afterwards we walked to the falls where there was a fireworks show. When we got back to Boston, my fh's friends had a cold
stone cake ready for us!

I was going through my pictures and found the Save the Dates.
