Ross and I got married on July 29th, 2011 in Laneshawbridge, Lancashire, England. Ross is from there and his whole family still lives in the UK (he moved to Canada 3 years ago.) We flew to England a week before so that we were completely over the jetlag and so that we could finish running wedding related errands before my family arrived from Canada a few days later. It was sheer madness -making sure we visited family and friends -including his mom who's in a nursing home trying to regain some physical strength due to a brain hemmorhage she suffered 2 years ago. We managed to accomplish (and buy) everything we needed and greeted my family at the airport. My parents, my brother and sister-in-law (and MOH), uncle and aunt, and my mom's cousin and his wife all made it over :) We showed them around the English countryside, touring castles, ruins, pubs and the Trafford Centre (amazing shopping centre in Manchester). The night before the wedding, I stayed with my parents in their room at the inn (also the wedding venue). What a night is all I could say! Aside from the fact that I was too anxious/excited/a little nervous too sleep anyway, my parents snored the WHOLE night, I was sleeping on a cot that way SO uncomfortable, and there was classical music playing downstairs in the dining room (I guess the staff forgot to turn it off) all night long! I woke up feeling so exausted and my day had just begun! The rest of the day came and went in a blur -just as everyone predicted- but it was amazing and I'm so glad I got to share it with everyone I love :) Here are some non-pros some of our friends posted on FB -I hope you like them!
