As much as I love PW .. I just wasn't happy with the wedsites. So I made another one .. and I encourage any and everyone to go look at it.
Because I'm proud.
And because you want to!
I might be a little biased, but I'm pretty sure we have the most awesome engagement photos ever.

I'm still completely at a loss as to what to put here. Most of our wedding is being kept under wraps, mainly to keep people from raining on our parade. I had a terrible experience on another website because our idea wasn't "traditional" and therefore not welcome. So, since that mishap, I've been keeping the nitty gritty details to myself and those involved.
I met my fella about 3 years ago on an online forum. I stalked him for awhile online, chatted, and ended up developing a gigantic grade school crush on him. Finally one weekend I decided to drive up to see him. He lived about 4 hours away, so I knew if I drove up to see him, I'd either have to find a hotel or stay with him. It had to have been love at first sight because we have been inseparable ever since. Early 09 I made the big move from my ginormous city of about 2 million people, to his tiny town of thiry thousand. After dealing with culture shock, and the cold hard truth that I couldn't get a job there, I asked him to move back to civilization with me. In my mind this was a make or break situation. I couldn't stand being apart from him, but at the same time I just couldn't survive there. All that worrying for nothing, and he moved back to DFW with me.
Fast forward almost a year, and I popped the question to him one random day without any significance. I left a little note in our dinosaur landscaped fish tank. Originally, I was going to have one of the dogs deliver a message to him, but we have the most stubborn dogs in existence, so that wasn't going to work. So the note in the fish tank it was. He loved it, and of course said yes.
And now here we are, planning a practical wedding with some unique twists. Or atleast I think they're unique.
Our entire day is 85% DIY. I am a very crafty lady, froma very crafty family, so it just came natural. We are making our decor, invitations, jewelry, cake, etc.
The dress was purchased about a month ago, and for my own good I am refraining from taking/posting photos of it. I do not want to ruin that moment with my fiance sees me in the dress. That's probably one of the only traditions we've kept.
My shoes are super awesome :
We're getting married at Fossil Creek Golf Club.
My brother is going to be our officiant.
Our bridal party consists of my best friend, her two small children, and the groom's best friend, and his nephew. We've told them to wear whatever they like.
Our colors are chocolate brown and avacado green.
And that's about as far as we gotten. Thanks for looking!
Looks like I won Best In Show for the Pumpkin Carving Contest.
Yay!

I know the whole thing is a little frivilous, but I still wanted to share!
I apologize in advance for the massive amount of photos I'm about to subject you to. But I was so thrilled with these I want to post them any and everywhere. My sister in law is in the beginning phases of her photography business so she offered to take all our photos and I honestly could not be happier with them. Enjoy!

<3!!
Remember when I said we were having a dinosaur theme? Well, it's finally coming together. My dad and I are about half way through building a giant Apatosaurus.
Here it is in all it's half-finished glory standing a whooping 9.5 ft tall and 11.5 ft in length.
So I already posted this on the main forum, but I'm just going to copy and paste it here. Too much trouble to re-type all this. :)
Hello ladies! I'm back and a happy Mrs. now! I don't have very many photos to share, as it'll be a few weeks until we get pro shots back, but here are some I've stolen from facebook. Believe me, these do not do the whole thing justice. It was amazing!
The altar complete with giant brontosaurus in the back.
Close up of mini-dinos for the altar:
My good friend fighting the giant dinosaur.
My brother (the officiant) and my husband to be waiting patiently for me.
Flower girl and ringbearer (note the dinosaur she's carrying. she didn't want no stinkin flowers!)
Matron of Honor and Best Man : (and for those of you wondering, she finally got her dress the day of rehearsal.)
Entrance: My dad rode me down a huge hill on his motorcycle for this.
Waiting patiently. The wind made my skirt blow up a little. No worries, I had on shorts! :
The happy couple!
Me and my dad:
The matron of honor and I :
We had Rock Band set up for the reception, but I didn't see any photos. I also didn't find any of the cake or centerpieces. Which were both awesome and over the top with dinosaur greatness.
But I did find one lonely photo of the cookies I made as favors. A triceratops with a monocle and bowtie, and a brontosaurus with a mustache and bowtie :
That's all I have for now, but rest assured I will update with pro pics as soon as I get them in. It was a great day and I couldn't have asked for better Texas weather than that! (85 and breezy)
I have so many photos to share, I'm going to do it in sections.

Alright folks, here's the last section. Enjoy!
Our centerpieces. They're edible graham cracker "sand" with white chocolate dinosaure bones.
A guest of ours made these and included them in an awesome gift.
The cake!
[I don't have a photo of the groom's cake, but it was a giant dinosaur foot print. Chocolate cake with Chocolate mousse.]
[Flavors: Pear gingersnap with buttercream mousse, Strawberries and cream, and the bottoer layer was Butter Pecan with white chocolate mousse]
We didn't have dancing, we had Rock Band:
We were concentrating awfully hard. I won, btw.
Bye everyone! Thanks for coming!
