I'm a southern gal... Beaufort South Carolina born.  Transplanted to the West first, then the Midwest.  My FI... Illinois native.  He's my Joey!

I met my dream come true on "plentyoffish.com" (a dating site)... Ya see, I busted my boyfriend on that site one day... so I created a bogus profile to catch him.  I got tons of messages from suiters!  So after I busted the jerk and broke up with him, I changed the fake picture to my real picture... and viola!!  Two weeks later.... there he was messaging me.... the man of my dreams! We got to know one another for almost 5 months before EVER even talking on the phone!  We emailed for almost six months before finally meeting in person.  (I wanted to be TOTALLY over the jerk, before meeting someone new.  I was open about this with Joe and told him my ONLY reason for being on the dating sight.. He was sooooo sweet!  He was soooo patient and understanding!

We marvel at the irony now... If the ex-jerk hadn't been cheating on a dating sight (single and looking!)...Joe and I would have never met!!  He begged me to forgive him.... no way!!  He realized what he lost and kept after me for months and months!  It must really irk him that HE is the one that inadvertently introduced me to the man that rescued me from his sorry butt! 

Thanks ex-jerk-boyfriend!  I never would have met him if you hadn't cheated!!  I never believed in dating sites before.... I do now!   No really!   "I DO" !!!!  ;)

Now?  I'm the happiest girl in the world and that's my bio!!

This is my second fitting... too tight!!   the top won't zip in the back, so the front looks funny!   Had my final fitting on 6/17... she fits now!!  but I forgot my dang camera!

We bought ALL of our new furniture for our new home BEFORE we even closed on the house!! Can you say Public Storage? lol

He has yet to actually get down on his knee..... but on NY' Eve 09'... at the party we were at.. at 11:55 pm, he lifted his glass to me in a toast and said.. "I guess I'd be in big trouble if I let this year go by without asking you to be my wife"... We laughed together as we toasted the new year and our official engagement. He told the Dj and he announced it for us!! It was perfect!!
I love my man!!

My girls all got to pick 'their' dress for their body shape.. It had to be from this particular Bari Jay Chiffon collection.  All dresses are in deep eggplant.  Silver shoes with rhinestone bling..(not found yet).  Jewelry still pending!  But I got them each a matching bracelett to start.

My Bouquet:  I made this myself.  I used "Real Touch" roses from Hobby Lobby.  Total cost: $40!  Real one: $165 and it dies!!  My bouquets even SMELL real!  I dropped a drop of Rose scented oil down into each flower.  Look real, smell real and feel real!  The roses are a mixture of both soft white and ivory.  I wrapped the stems with a sparkley, ivory organza fabric and shaped it similar to a rosebud and then an ivory lace on top of that.  I then wrapped a double band of rhinestones around the top. Two mother-of-pearl dragonfly pendants, I hot-glued to two leftover stems and tucked them in.

For my girls... My DIY 'Real touch' bouquets!  They look and feel so real!!  Here's a totally cool tip!!  I took a Rose scented aroma oil and dabbed some down inside the flower!!  Now they totally smell real too!!!
