Apples (red) and wheat! - Inspiration
Most likely we will have wheat on the tables and apple baskets on the bar area and on the guestbook table.
I found mason jars at a garage sale for $1 (20 of them for $1!) so now it looks like this!!
The table numbers are names of the various island on the lake where we are getting married :)
We are planning on having a bon fire welcome reception with smores for our out of town guests.
FI is in charge of this but here are his instructions:
Well the bike idea was great! But then a friend of a friend did the same invites and well my parents offered to purchase our invites and we couldn't say no! Here are the actual invites and STDS
(not exactly spot on - we forgot the moss and a friend delivered it, but by that time I was already getting ready so my Husband had to do it and well he put the moss in the wrong place LOL!)
$14 at Target! can you believe it?

Bird seed packets for after the ceremony!
Somehow my friends and family surprised me twice! Once with a family shower and once again with a friends Jack and Jill shower. Both were more than I could have asked for :)
I always wanted to elope. A big wedding was never in my wedding dreams, and as the Big Wedding took over I began to feel more and more regretful that I would never have the wedding of MY dreams. Thats when I decided to take back control. I secretly planned a love commitment ceremony for just FI and myself to take place at our local park and I scheduled us to get tattoos of our date afterwards. It was perfect. I bought champagne recruited a friend to take pictures and hired an officiant, and it was just perfect after that. The bouquet was $10 from the local florist, the dress $20 from a local vintage shop, the shoes I owned, and sweater was on sale for $12 at Banana Republic, and thats it! I left FI a note on his computer to meet me at the park at noon and here are the pictures:
September 25, 2010. Lake George, New York. Everything was beautiful. Beyond my expectations. It went by so fast and it was an incredible whirlwind weekend. Here are some shots from the day that we love. We are still waiting on the pro shots but here are some of the sneal peaks and from friends!
