My fiancé Chaz and I have been together 3 years and been engaged for about 4 months. We met... on MySpace and what do you know, it actually worked out. We're goofy, serious with a 90's pop culture twist. For example, our reception entry song will be The Buffy The Vampire Slayer TV theme song per my fiancé, non-negotiable.
6 in total!! Originally I wanted none, but boy how the mind changes once that ring is on...
Left to right, clockwise: Me, Monica I met through a college friend when I moved to LA; Leslie, MOH, known since college; Erin, college roomie, who also introduced me to Monica.
SVP, college roomie.
Brenda and I started at HBO on the same day almost 8 years ago, we then left within weeks of each other 4 years later but have always been friends, T & B. I was a bridesmaid in her May 08 nuptials.
Kari is on the left. I met her because her husband and my fiance work together and she's been a good friend ever since. I actually met her on her wedding day, also at The Calamigos Equestrain ;) She and her hubby took Chaz to the jeweler to pick out my ring.
Friday night started as regular fun outing with Chaz and friends. We had decided to go to his friend Liz’s art show in Venice with our friends Mark & No-No (Aurore). Liz is a great artist and her work was awesome! The gallery was full
of people with a DJ spinning. Oh, and did I mention the open bar? I should’ve thought it odd that Chaz didn’t partake in any drinks and his cigarette intake was higher than usual but still I was clueless. The crowd started to dwindle and
it was around midnight when the lights slowly faded, our clue to “get the hell out.” As we made our way to Mark’s car, Chaz said he wanted to smoke to a cigarette. “That’s so rude,” I told him. We were literally
at the car, it was late and he’d be making them wait. “Mark’ll wait,” He says. We made our way from the car to the front of nearby shop that still had its lights on. I stood there slightly annoyed and uttered, “I have
to go the bathroom.” Chaz pulls a cigarette out, puts it behind his ear and then, well then he gets down on one knee. My thought, besides having to go, is “what is he doing?” He proceeds to pull out a silver Zippo lighter and open
it. Inside is the most beautiful ring I’d ever seen. And then I got it, this was it. “Will you marry me?” Without a doubt I said, “Yes,” and then I cried like a baby followed by giggling like a mad women for the rest the
night.
So telling someone they’re rude and saying you have to pee really bad and still having them ask you to spend the rest of your life with them well... that’s my definition of true love :-)
And if you know
Chaz and me, this is us; I wouldn’t have had my proposal happen any other way <3
I'll get more in depth as the wedding approaches.

My inner craft diva would just love to make every little thing for my wedding but I just don't have the time or patience SO I turned to Etsy and found such great deals, SO much of wedding will have custom pieces.
My backdrop necklace and earring set by Cathy5591
Fun, funky vinyl wallet made from ads for my BM's from ClaraMarieBelle. I picked the ads myself and had the Angelina one made for myself -- hehe
I saw a bridal suite door hanger sign on Etsy and I knew I wanted one and how easy it should be to make.
Supplies:
- (1) 12 x12 sheet of scrapbook paper
- (1) thin wooden circle
- Spool of ribbon- You don't need much but Michael's had a spool for a $1
- Various wedding embellishments
- Adhesive tape, scissors
Gathering my supplies
I traced the circle on the sheet of paper.
I taped one piece of the ribbon to each side of the circle. I placed the embellishments on the paper before putting onto the circle.
The results:
