Hello!! My name is Chelsi!

I love meeting people, so feel free to add me as a friend!! My husband and I are both in college right now. I am majoring in Exercise and Sport Science and minoring in Nutrition. I am also certified in Classical Pilaltes. I am in love with American Sign Language and originally I was chasing a double major in it, but I have decided that since I am already fluent in the language I would dive 100% into my other field. I am passionate about health and fitness and if you have any questions about it let me know! :)

Alex is studying recording and audio production. He is going to be incredibly good at it - he already is. He went to college for 1 year in 2009-2010, and then took 3 years off and played music professionally. Now he has gotten all of the touring and gigging out of his system, and he is ready to be "behind the scenes". We will both be done with school now in 2.5 years! I should get another countdown going... ;)

Hello!!!

My name is Chelsi, and my husbands name is Alex.

We met in high school, the summer before my freshman year. Alex is 3 years older than I am, so this was the summer before his senior year. When we first met, I knew that he was about to move to Boston for college after that year. We lived in Oregon, so that was about as far away as he could get!!

We fell in love online. Though we both went to the same school, we did the majority of our "getting to know each other" through myspace, and AIM. Alex and I were already obsessed with each other by the time he asked me out, and I consistently told him no for the first couple months. I didn't want a long distance relationship, so I didn't want to get involved. After months of talking, emailing, and texting non stop every day, I realized that no matter what I called it, we were involved and I would miss him when he left. We went on our first date the day before he left for a 5 week camp in Boston. And throughout those 5 weeks he and I got to know each other on such a deep and thorough level just by exchanging text on a computer screen.

By the time he came home, we were an inseperable pair. Head over heels in love with each other. The rest of that year we spent together was so intense. Constantly in the back of our minds was the long distance relationship ahead of us. It was sad, but it gave every moment we spent together this intense sense of mortality, and importance. Everything was so romantic and magical.

The long distance relationship was probably the most awful thing I have every experienced. Not only was I forced to be without Alex, but I had to see him in such a depressed and miserable state every time we talked, and there was nothing I could do about it. After a year of college, he moved back home. He hated being away from me, he hated the city, he hated the school, and there was no reason for him to stay.

To this day, we snap back into that mentality every time one of us leaves. We have a hard time being apart for even a couple hours. But if there is anything we have learned, its how to cherish every moment we have together as they are always limited.

Alex moved in with my mom and I during my Junior year of high school, and lived there with me until the day we got married. Alex and I drove to Kentucky (honeymoon road trip!) where we moved into our apartment and both go to school full time.

Our engagement was mutual before he proposed. We both agreed that it was in our best interest to get married before college, but he asked me not to tell anyone we were engaged until after he proposed.

This was kind of a fun, backwards way to do things! This way, I got to tell him how I wanted him to propose, I got to pick out my ring, and I still got to be surprised when he did it.

He proposed to me privately, in the comfort of my own home - just as I wanted.

and here is his ring and my band!

Here they are:

Maid of Honour: Melinda

Wedding Party photo 1

Our maid of honor is a very good friend of mine, named Melinda. Melinda and I have been very close for 7 years now, and has been very helpful to me throughout the wedding planning process. She is a very skilled artist, and designer. Due to her previous experience in costume design, set design, and other theatrical aspects, she is helping to bring a unique flair to the wedding

Matron of Honour: Mindi (Funny they both have the same name)

Wedding Party photo 2

Mindi is the most incredible woman I have ever met. I have known her all my life. She recently had brain surgery, and remains the strongest woman I believe I have ever encountered. She is helping us with EVERYTHING regarding this wedding, and probably believes in us more than we do. She knew before we did that we were destined to be together forever. She is our advocate. She fights for us and our marriage, and I don't know what we would do without her. My fiance and I love her with all of our hearts. And she, I am honoured to say, is my mother.

Best man: Chance

Sadly, pictures of Chance don't exist. That will change after our wedding, but for now his section will be lacking photos. Chance is a musician that my fiance works with on a regular basis, and has really grown with and learned a lot from. Their relationship quickly blossomed from strictly professional to very close friends. We are very glad to honour him at our wedding.

Our honeymoon, as mentioned earlier in my bio, will be an (almost) 3 week long road trip from Western Oregon to Eastern Kentucky. WHEW! A straight shot there would be 2,410 miles. But we are certainly not taking a straight shot there.

For us, the honeymoon is almost as big of a deal as the wedding. So, I thought I would share our plans with you lovely ladies!!

Here are the LOCATIONS in order, but several of them will be a couple days:

- Crater Lake (OR)

- Redwood Forests (CA)

- Lake Tahoe (NV)

- Yosemite (CA)

- Bakersfield, CA

- Rainbow, CA

- Las Vegas, NV

- Grand Canyon (AZ)

- Beaver, UT

- Grand Junction, CO

- Crested Butte, CO

- Limon, CO

- Kansas City, MO

- Brooks, KY

- Taylorsville, KY

- Richmond, KY (where we will move!)

This is SO huge, and I am very very excited!! More to come!

We just got our save the date magnets! The colours weren't what we wanted and they are kind of hard to read, but they serve their purpose!!

Online they are MUCH easier to read.
