Words of wisdom..

You're going to spend hours upon hours planning..take some time out during the day to enjoy what you've worked so hard for. SLOW down..it only goes by faster later on.

If you want something really badly, make sure you have a back up in case the first one doesn't come through.

If you're unsure on spending the money..take some time to think about how it will affect your life later on.  Will you use it? need it? THINK about it after that day?  No? Then save your money for something better..like a chocolate fountain ;)

The internet is your best friend!!! My wonderful fiance found a book online that said fire your planner, here are things to save you money!! I found a LOT of stuff on ebay.  My dress, my tiara, my garter..even my fiance ;) I found directions online how to apply certain rhinestones (which I found on ebay!) to clothing and made my own hoodie that said my married name.  I made our programs with stuff I bought from Michaels.  I printed our invitations.  I printed out the picture we put on our save the dates from my photo printer and ordered the magnets online for super cheap. I made our pens for the guestbook with ribbon and regular ink pens.  I decorated a plainjane guestbook with rhinestones. I searched for coupons for websites before I placed my order, 10% helps every time! I printed out the photos of everybody to put into the coasters for their placecards. Sometimes making the stuff took more time but most of it was very cost effective and I had fun doing it.

Follow your heart and instincts when it comes to choosing your vendors. Something clicked the moment I saw our photographers photos.  The music playing was our first dance song.  I stuck to that choice like glue and haven't regretted a single second of it.

If you don't know..ASK.  If you want something...ASK.  The worst anybody is going to say is no..but then again there may be an alternative you aren't aware of!

This is just one day in your life and don't get me wrong, it IS extremely important.  However, remember that (hopefully) you're dealing with people who do these kinds of things for a living.  Some of them have a wealth of knowledge and can really help the process and point you in the right direction if you know how to ask nicely.  Being rude and inappropriate only makes things harder.  Nobody likes a bridezilla and it's NOT just your day..it's his too! Keep in mind it's BOTH of your guys' day..let him have a say in things too. If I had said no to anything he'd suggested, we wouldn't have found the awesome photographer and DJ we had.

Live your life in the moment. It goes by faster and faster and before you know it, it'll all be in the past.  Savor the quiet moments you have together as a couple.  Spend time building your life together even before the wedding.  Never regret anything you've done in the past. Those are things that have made you who you are.  Without those trials and tribulations, you would not be where you are.

Lastly, hold on for dear life. Nothing is ever going to be the same! :)
