Hello!!
I am finally getting married to the man of my dreams, we have been together for almost 9 years and have a 4-yr old daughter. We have been through a lot in the years, but he has always been there waiting for me to get it together. I'm a simple chick from California...laid back. He is from the concrete jungle of Baltimore City. I had a carefree and happy life, I have kinda floated around from here to there, sorta like a hippy of the 21st century. I never thought I was the marrying type, "i'm like a bird", free and happy go lucky. I did not realize that I wanted to get married until he proposed.
He proposed to me on March 11, 2009, and we decided to have a small wedding at the Moon Palace resort in Cancun, Mexico. I am excited. I have my gown, me and my mom went to 2 stores, I tried it on....it looked great....I bought it!! I am now shopping for my maid of honor's dress. Our color is Lilac. We are a very simple couple, and like simple beauty. Any input or reviews on prior wedding experiences with the resort will be great....Thanks!!
I am a really simple Cali girl, and have never really liked the "sculpted" look or anything really formal. I think I look best natural.
I like both styles
I am really looking forward to the Horse and Carriage...all of the reviews I have read, say that the guests are amazed when the bride arrived. I am not really a girlie-girl, but I am really looking forward to this detail.
Well......I have decided to take my wedding dress in another direction. I really like the vintage 1950's look, the knee/tea length dresses. They are really classic and romantic. So, what do you think?
Ok, so I think I have changed my dress about 50 times......I did purchase a dress about two months after we got engaged, because we are having a destination wedding , it will be warm in Cancun, so I figured I didn't NEED a big wedding
dress.....Here is the dress I have now, it is a Oleg Cassini , then I wanted a tea/knee length
vintage dress, now I think I want a real wedding dress....but there is a catch...it's a real casual dress, something my style. I am very UN-blingy, not flashy, very simple, as far a jewlery I were my E-Ring, on the other hand I have my parents
E-ring and a small butterfly ring ( on the same finger) . I wear gold hoop earrings, mostly Don't wear kneclaces. IDK, I just feel bogged down with all of that extra stuff.
SO, here is the new dress.
It says "Wedding", yet it is not too bling-ed out or over the top....more of an understated look.
I am not a big jewelry wearer, but I know I have to wear something for the wedding. How about this? Suggestions are welcome!!Oh yeah, my color is Lilac
