It was Jan 18, 2007 and my friend Erinn was moving to Texas over the weekend so she wanted all of her friends to go out. It was a Thursday night and I had to be up for work at 5am (as did John). I decided to just go to Starbucks with her instead but then she talked me into going out that night. So I go home and change (didn't fix hair or makeup) and we left for our destination. We go to the bar where everyone was meeting (it's a country bar). We have a couple tables reserved as there were a lot of us. After being there for about 2 hours or so I noticed John. (He was in the same group of friends as me) I decided to tell my friend Lindsey that I thought the guy in the yellow shirt was really cute. She said she was going to tell him even though I asked her not to many times. So she went over and told him while I stood there feeling awkward and worried that he may not think the same about me. So about 10 minutes later he finally comes over and talks to me and the first thing he says is "Hi I'm John" and put out his hand for me to shake it. It was kinda cute actually because he was just as nervous as I was because he said he had been looking at me all night and wanted to talk to me as well. So we talked for a few minutes and danced to a few songs and it's all history from there

We're getting married at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Our ceremony is at 2pm. It's an older church but is very nice. It doesnt allow the unity candle or sand ceremony though because they don't believe its necessary since its not really part of the ceremony. They feel the vows and exchange of the rings is enough.

I went to a bridal store to try on ONE more time before I ordered and I found a dress I LOVED more than the one I originally picked. It's Casablanca 1959. I ordered it in Diamond White! This is the model picsMy attire photo 1  My attire photo 2My attire photo 3

My shoes-I was iffy about these shoes because I dont like the ankle strap because I feel restricted but these are comfortable and my feet look sexy in them ;) they look kind of orange but they are claret red

We LOVE Mackinac Island (definitely recommend visiting if you get a chance, gorgeous!) I've been there many times with my family and I've taken FI with me a couple times and he loves it just as much as I do and thats where we got engaged. They make AMAZING homemade fudge! We are going to give our guests little square piece of fudge. They have so many flavors to choose from but were giving regular chocolate, turtle, and cookie crumble fudge.Favors photo 1

This is how we are going to package the favors. We'll attach a thank you tag on it and put something underneath the packaging so people understand why we gave what we gave.

My bouquet will be something like this. I was originally going to do all white roses but then I decided I wanted color in mine. Mine wont be these exact colors, but this is my inspiration. Mine will go with our wedding colors. The girls' bouquets will basically be a smaller version of mine.

FI's bout will have a flower that matches my bouquet and the boys will go along with the girls flowers.

Our cake will be made with a layer of Champagne cake with Champagne filling and a layer of White cake with Double Fudge Filling and then Buttercream frosting. Depending on how many layers we need, the flavors will alternate between the two different flavors.

Finally finished my cake topper!! Made by Crafty Eddy

Groom's Cake-Since FI is a huge sports fan I wanted his cake to incorporate that. I emailed the lady from TipsyCakes and asked if she'd be able to make a cake to feed about 45 people (giving it to him at the rehearsal dinner) and somehow incorporate the New York Giants, Yankees, and Rangers and her response was "I can create something fabulous" so now I'm SO excited to see what she comes up with!!! They make AWESOME cakes!! After talking with the lady from TipsyCakes we decided she is going to make a circle cake with 3D logos of the New York Yankees, Giants, and Rangers and then around the base of the cake put the New York Skyline, kind of like in the following picture.

I am making our invites/std/and programs. I ordered the pocketfolds and envelopes from paperandmore. I bought the paper and ribbon from the paper-source store in my area. This is a mockup of the invite. The papers are crinkled because my cat thought it was nice to lay on.

This is what our Save the Date looks like. I tried to upload my own design to vistaprint but everytime we received them in the mail they were blurry and I wasnt happy with them (all 3 times) so I just made them on the actual website using their templates. I didnt feel the need to stress over STD lol

For my parents we're going to get them a 2 part picture frame and put a picture of us from when we were little and then the other side will be a picture from our wedding day and we'll put a cute poem in it. When I throw one together I'll post pics. I'm also going to make them an album from A&I after the wedding with wedding pics in it. I bought these hankies from etsy seller gosiadesigns. I love them!

Our church wont let us throw rice or petals or anything that will make a mess and I'm kind of over the bubble idea so we are going to do ribbon wands! I'm waiting on my brown ribbon to come in and then I'm going to start making them! The ribbon we're using will be brown, claret red, and champagne/light gold. I love how it looks when you have enough
