I love PW.  I have had 3 weddings and 8 engagements happen to my friends all in the last year and this site has been so helpful for me giving wedding ideas or helping my girlfriend (getting married in Feb 2010) with getting her wedding together.

I've been with my boyfriend, who is originally from Ohio, for over 2 years and a half years.  I'm hoping to be engaged in the near future because we just bought a house together.  It's been an exciting year for me and God has finally put a man I can build a future with in my life.  When that time comes I will definitely update everyone here on PW.  I'll probably need SO much help.  Looking forward to sharing ideas with all of you~!

P.S.  If I did have a wedding I would love to incorporate some kind of Asian theme into it. I'm 100% Korean, and he's half Korean and half Chinese.

I'm engaged!  He asked me over Thanksgiving weekend with BOTH our families present, it was beautiful! 

On thanksgiving…our family had some announcements (my cousin is having a baby, my aunt bought a house, my cousin passed the boards, my other cousin passed the bar…) Tim got up and I just thought that he would be making it about our home purchase…we bought a home in OCT 2009

so of course in Vivian fashion, I started talking, thanking everyone for their support in our house and blah, blah, blah.  He was thanking our family for taking care of him since his parents are in OHIO.  He then drops down to one knee…and I hyperventilate.  Haha…I end up saying yes and crying for 30mins…

He took my breath away...literally

I got it at the dresser in fullerton...i stood in line at 6am and they open at 10am...every half a year or year they have a sale where you can BUY for half the price of what it usually goes for.  It reminds me of the episode on Friends with Monica, Phoebe and Rachel.  Hahaha...

So far for me the most stressful thing has been finding a venue in our budget...although this venue was more than the other ones, I chose it because fo the flexibility my guests would have by not drinking and driving but having the ease of staying in one place afterwards...for the after wedding party of course ;)

This is a picture of the inside of the room...the carpets are being upgraded, and chandeliers are being put in and the seats are going to have covers...new wall papers....this went from a holiday inn to a boutique hotel...the nice thing is since a lot of people don't know about this place yet, the price is the lowest i can get!!

the outside of the ballroom...the outside color has changed to a light gray which also helps making it look very chic...i'm excited that's for sure~!

I'm going a lil backwards with the blog entries but I wanted to let you know how we met!

Tim and I are avid sports fan.  One maybe more than the other.  Tim's teams are the following:  College- OHIO STATE  Professional Basketball- Cleveland Cavaliers Professional Football- Cincinnati Bengals Professional Baseball- who knows?   My teams are the following:  College- UCLA Professional Basketball- LA Lakers  Professional Football- SF 49ers Professional Baseball- Angels

With this being said we both like to partake in sports activities as well.  I was part of a co-ed football league for 4 years.  During my 3rd year Tim was substituting for one of the players and we had initially met.  I have no recollection of meeting Tim (prolly because I was in the zone and had to block out all distractions), but Tim remembers me approaching him and introducing myself.  Fast forward a year, Tim decides to finally join the football league and play on a regular basis.  Before the seasons start we had a mini-team dinner.  The day I "met" Tim.  Throughout the dinner as Tim and I chatted, I had no idea what would happen.  As a team, we all casually would go out and little by little Tim and I were getting closer.  We would frequently text throughout the day and finally being the woman I am, I texted Tim, "are you going to grow some balls and ask me out or what?"  April 4, 2007 the same day, Tim asked me out.  I will till this day still picks the place, date and time but we've been together ever since.  And most of our friends know us as the Asian Empire.

MY ALMA MATER!!!

We had a hard time finding our ceremony venue...We wanted to have a place where it was affordable but meant something to us.  My home church, The Crossing, is under reconstruction and it would be VERY RISKY if I decided to have it there.  I remember Concordia University's Chapel being beautiful so I wanted to visit.  This was after we had already visited multiple places.  We went in and both of us knew it was it!!! We can bring in our pastor and have the service there.  It is so pretty, and we can decorate however we'd like =)

it was with AMUT and ANGELINA who is soooo talented!!!
