YES! We will prepare special music for the First Dance, Father-Daughter Dance, Mother-Son Dance and other special requests.
How much time do you usually need for setup?
1 Hour minimum
How much space do you usually require?
Minimum 8'x16' staging area
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We provide full stage lighting which includes dimmer, fade and chase effects, etc.
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
We provide professional emcee service at no additional cost.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
Early in the planning stage we work closely with the Bride and Groom to discuss the audience/guest list demographics and their musical preferences. From that information we custom prepare our play lists and song selections. We find that variety music covering the various decades from the 60s forward to today is usually a good format. During the reception, we watch the audience closely and decide what they are responding to and adjust accordingly..
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Our breaks always coincide with the reception schedule of events. We are very flexible with our wedding clients and work closely with their wedding planners and "day of" coordinators to produce a smooth flow of events. When we need to be on we're ON.
Do you play recorded music during your break?
We provide professioanl DJ service as well as our live performance. Our DJ service is proviced at no additional cost.
If one or more of the band members is unable to attend, what is your backup plan?
The 2Plus2 Band has a roster of musicians that we can call on to substiture if one of our members can't perform. These musicians also perform with other bands and we will sub for them when we can. We've been around for a long time and we have lots of colleagues in the field.
What is your overtime rate?
Our overtime rate is currently $200.00/hour
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No, unless we are required to travel an unusually long distance. Our current service area is Richmond, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Hampton Roads/Tidewater, Williamsburg, Virginia and the Outer Banks of North Carolina from Corrolla south to Manteo and Elizabeth City.
