In 2002, I attended The Art Institute of California in my hometown - San Diego. My main focus was to follow my passion for food & cooking and become a chef. I received my Associates Degree in Culinary Arts in 2004. Since then I have worked as a professional within the hospitality industry.
Within the years I have been fortunate to cater with great people & clients, which has lead me to create a part-time catering business with a close friend and fellow chef. During these events I would often find myself 'designing' the layout of the event, offering assistance to the host, and taking lead in coordination. This is where I realized my knack & love for designing and planning events.
Not long after I realized this is my 'calling', I was well into planning my own wedding. The theory was to create a fabulous event design company that wasn't cookie cutter and had the look & feel of 'high-end' but within realistic budgets. The idea of what soon became 'A Cultured Event' was the understanding that every event needs a little creative assistance. My expertise is to be inspired by my client's desire & personality and create a unique event that embraces who they are.
