Unique venue space that is unlike many weddings and gives you the entire space for the entire day versus nickle and diming you for every time; however, the space is very expensive for a Saturday night.

The is a perfect place for an intimate wedding. Our guests are still talking about how this spaces was so beautiful. I highly recommend the candle treatment, as it made the entire place sparkle. We absolutely loved having our wedding here.

In short I’d say A New Leaf is an amazing venue for anyone looking for a budget-friendly (for Chicago) venue that’s a bit non-traditional. It’s such an interesting space and perfect for our cocktail-style reception. We ended up having just under 100 guests and were able to squeeze everyone into the courtyard for the ceremony (24 chairs, the rest standing or sitting on the benches already in the space). We used their tables and rented some high boys plus the leftover chairs from the reception worked out well for the buffet dinner. The flowers were also absolutely beautiful!

My husband and I got married at A New Leaf this June, and it was the most beautiful event. All of guest were in awe of how great a venue it was. The space is amazing on its own, with the beautiful courtyard next to it. With the split level layout, the venue makes a wedding feel much more like a party than a traditional hotel ballroom. We used the space for everything we could, including all our family photos, just because it is so special. It's an incredibly affordable space, compared with similar locations in Chicago. Did I mention the flowers? Because this is just yet another reason to use this venue. Since the space is owned by the flower shop, you are required to use them for floral arrangements, which actually makes the process much simpler. While I thought it would be extremely pricey given the clientele they typically get, our floral designer, Andy, worked to get us in our budget and the flowers were incredibly beautiful. He designed the most beautiful bridal bouquet for me. He even was able to use leftover flowers from a wedding the night before to jazz up the main floral centerpiece, at no charge to us. If you are looking for a special place that is unique beyond compare, look no further than A New Leaf!

If you are open to a less traditional, modern city wedding, you should check out New Leaf. The space is definitely unique (any maybe too much for some brides) with it's split level lay out (no elevators), limited seating (comfortably seats 40), and buffet-only reception option. However, if you are willing to consider something a little less formal, the space is gorgeous. We have booked the space for our wedding of approx 80 and are looking forward to a relaxed indoor/outdoor summer wedding. We are also excited to save some money on decorations, as the space is beautiful on its own and requires little beyond the candle package (excited for that!). The staff has been great so far- also very laid back, but responsive and easy to talk to. I am excited to continue working with them and planning our day!

I can't say enough about this beautiful space and the people who run it. My fiance and I wanted something very urban and very different. We wanted the wow factor and New Leaf delivered. It's a great value for the $4000 they charge on a Sat night. This is much less than many other Chicago venues and includes a rustic and intimate 3rd floor ceremony space, a mezzanine level for dancing, a main floor for dinner and a very charming and lovely garden that we used for cocktail hour. They also don't restrict you to certain hours. Once you have contracted, the space is yours from 9 am till 12 am. I've noticed some people say that you cannot do a plated dinner here, and that is incorrect. I work for a caterer, and it has been done many times. The space allows for plated, buffet or stationed dinners. Some groups choose to split the dining onto two levels, we however, chose to seat 65 guests on the main floor and the head table with ten more across the top of the mezzanine looking down and it worked wonderfully. I wouldn't recommend the space for more than 100 for dinner or 140 for cocktails. They also provide 9 bistro tables and 45 chairs. This saves some money on rentals. If you book here, I highly recommend you opt for the candle treatment. It costs an additional $450, but consists of the staff lighting hundreds of floating candles throughout the building. Breathtaking.

Your contract states that you must use A New Leaf for floral as well. I was surprised at how well priced they were for a Lincoln Park/Old Town area flower shop. Lori was our consultant, and after just one meeting completely nailed what I was envisioning. I almost cried when I saw my bouquet. We opted for the "Tree of Life" on the main buffet table and were floored at how stunning it was. We got so many comments that we had the "prettiest wedding flowers ever".

A New Leaf was the best wedding choice we made.

Frannie at New Leaf was very accommodating and understood budget, as well as our desire to keep it fairly simple with using alot of Aspen leaves, instead of all flowers. I thought all her arrangements were beautiful and appropriate for the setting. The arrangement on the cross at the reception was especially beautiful.

We had our wedding ceremony upstairs, and the reception was downstairs in the two lower levels and the garden. It was PERFECT for our 75 guest wedding! The space is untraditional, in that it has contemporary lines and layout, but a whimsical element with the garden portion.

My fiancé and I didn't want a big open ballroom full of tables where folks would be sitting the entire time. Instead, we wanted our ceremony to be intimate and sacred, and reception to be an upscale-yet-fun-and-comfortable-cocktail-PARTY! A new leaf was perfect for this!
• space lends itself to activity; lots of mingling with the different levels
• best for nighttime weddings: the candle service they provide transforms the space into a magical romantic dream
• food can only be served buffet style, BUT a new leaf is also a florist, and the made an amazing HUGE Floral "tree" for us where the food was; tea light candles were hanging from the branches while peonies, hydrangea, greenery and wisteria draped and sprouted throughout.

•the flowers were superb. I almost cried when I had to toss my bouquet.

•we put the bar and some favors in the garden, and guests floated and mingled through there all night. It was lit with candles, paper lanterns and twinkling lights.

Perfect.

We loved A New Leaf. Their space is so unique that when we first saw the venue we fell in love. We used A New Leaf for our florals, ceremony and reception venue. They were accommodating for all of our needs. They allowed us on to the property early to photograph in their couch house and patio. Overall, everything from wonderful from our flowers to our space.

I had my wedding at A New Leaf on the 22nd of June. Not only was the venue unique and a hidden gem in the downtown area, I can not say enough about the flowers. All I said was that I wanted a shabby chic look and use what is fresh. I mentioned that I like a few types of flowers but was open to ideas. Not only was everyone in awe from the minute they stepped into the venue location, I could not stop looking at the flowers. I am in loved with my bouquet and every flower that went into our special day. The peonies (which I requested if fresh) were breathtaking. Rachelle got my vision. Thank you so very much!
