We offer our clients complimentary private tastings as an opportunity to refine their menu selections. At your request, your event specialist will design a tasting menu for you and your fiancé based on the menu you’ll serve to your guests on your wedding day.
Are you also able to provide the wedding cake?
While we have skilled pastry chefs in our kitchen to craft a variety of desserts for your reception, we recommend contacting a professional wedding cake maker for your wedding cake. We can, however, provide additional sheet cakes that may be needed to serve all your guests in a variety of delicious flavors.
If a bride decides to bring her own wedding cake, do you have a cake cutting fee? If yes, how much is the fee?
A Spice of Life offers complimentary cake cutting and serving as part of our services on your wedding day. After the ceremonial cake cutting, members of the service staff will cut and distribute your chosen wedding cake or other dessert to your guests.
Are you licensed to sell alcohol? If yes, where are you licensed?
A Spice of Life Catering holds a liquor license at our A Spice of Life Event Center. For events held at venues other than our event center, we have TIPS trained bartenders as well as liquor liability insurance to serve your alcohol.
Do you allow outside alcohol? If yes, what is the corkage fee?
A Spice of Life is the exclusive provider of alcohol at the A Spice of Life Event Center location in accordance with our liquor license. At other locations, A Spice of Life can recommend local providers of alcohol and will provide professional bartenders to serve your guests responsibly, without a corkage fee.
Do you provide rentals for items such as linens and flatware?
As a full-service event planning company, we are more than capable of coordinating any rental needs you might have, from china and flatware to tenting and lighting. We have our own in-house rental items available and can contract with other local rental companies as needed on your behalf. We act as the liaison with most of the vendors and services required for your event so that you may enjoy your day without worrying about the logistics.

Are there any special characteristics about this venue such as scenery or architecture?
The A Spice of Life Event Center is located on one of Boulder’s finest golf courses. The space is surrounded by mature trees and lush green lawns and the ballroom has a perfect view of the Flatirons through large picture windows. The space features recently updated classic finishes and a stunning, elegant modern chandelier with draping available. It’s a ranch style property; there is one level and all rooms are handicap accessible.
How does your venue determine the cost of the space?
The cost is based on time of year, day and the size of the room. We also offer non-profit rates.
Do you offer any special services?
We provide day-of coordination for your event, custom menu consultations, on site chefs for interactive action stations and certified bartenders.
Do you offer any special packages for rehearsal dinners?
We offer 1 1/2 hours of rehearsal time prior to your wedding. If you choose to hold your rehearsal dinner at the A Spice of Life Event Center, your room rental is complimentary. This includes our outdoor patios and indoor ballrooms.
Do you offer additional items for the ceremony?
We have a beautiful 10ft wrought iron arch available to frame your ceremony as well as a ceremony table, white plastic chairs for your guests, a PA system and a fruit infused water station to greet your guests as they arrive to the Event Center.
Do you rent other items such as linens, tables, or flatware?
If you’re interested in specialty linens aside from our in-house selection, we coordinate with outside companies to suit your specific needs. We also have 11ft bamboo umbrellas, canopies, pipe & drape, staging, centerpieces and specialty flatware available for rent.
What is your staff-to-guest ratio?
For buffet service, we provide 1 server for every 25 guests. For plated service, the ratio is 1 server per every 10 guests.
Do you require clients to use a specific list of vendors?
While we require our clients to use our catering service exclusively, they are able to select any vendor of their choosing for other services. We are also happy to provide recommendations for vendors if you’re feeling overwhelmed by the options available.
Do you require the client to use your musicians? If you do not require this, is that an additional fee to bring in one's own musicians?
We don’t provide in-house musicians and there’s no additional fee to use the musician of your choosing.
Do you have any special side rooms that can be rented out for the occasion?
We have two additional rooms: the lounge and the patio room. The lounge can accommodate 50 guests and is perfect for an auxiliary cocktail hour space. It includes a solid wood built-in full-service bar and a functional fireplace. The patio room will accommodate 30 guests and has triple swinging doors, which allows for a graceful transition between our indoor and outdoor spaces during your event.
Can the client provide their own alcohol if desired?
No. We hold a liquor license at the A Spice of Life Event Center which prohibits guests from bringing their own alcohol.
How many power outlets does the venue have?
One every six feet throughout the venue, there are plenty of outlets to suit your needs.
What restrictions (if any) on decorations?
We do not allow the use of confetti, duct tape, or fog /bubble machines. Fake petals are acceptable inside the Event Center and only real petals are permitted outside. Candles must be enclosed.

Women’s restroom consists of 2 regualr stalls and one handicap accessible stall as well as two sinks, two large mirrors and one wall mirror and vanity. It was recently updated and is very spacious.

300 hundred complimentary uncovered spaces. The entire lot is exposed but is secluded on golf course grounds.
