Do you have liability insurance?

Our DJs are fun, entertaining and know how to get the crowd moving. With excellent music selections and an energetic attitude our DJs always keep you and your guests happy and on their feet!
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
Music requests are only limited to the amount of time we are available to play them. Unless otherwise requested, we do take request before and during the event.
What is your usual attire?
We dress in clean professional attire which is suitable for the specific event.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
We will acquire any song needed for your wedding or event at no additional cost. The only exception is when a song is requested that is not commercially available.
How many other DJs do you work with?
The Absolute Best team consist of 3 DJs. All of which are very skilled and experienced. We also have a very skilled bilingual Latin DJ available.
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
We try to keep our minimum at 3 hours but will make an exception occasionally depending on circumstances.
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Absolutely! We often meet with clients before booking their service to ensure we are the best match for them.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We do have a very skilled Latin DJ available.
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Yes, our online personal wedding planners inlcude a Do-not-play list. Typically though its songs we tend not to play anyway like YMCA or the Chicken Dance.
Do you bring your own equipment?
We provide our own sound and lighting equipment which is of the best quality available to mobile DJs.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We offer an assortment of lighting options to give your event that extra flair! Light up your venue with our high quality LED up lighting or your dance floor with our array of top of the line club style effect lighting.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
We try to set up as early as possible the day of the event to allow time for our DJ to relax and be fresh and ready to entertain your guests. We do have our own tables available unless the client wishes to have one provided in order to match the rest of the decor.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
Our set up takes only about as much room as a 6 ft. table. Speakers can be spread out from our DJ station as needed to maximize coverage.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
We never advertise during your event but do carry business cards on hand to pass to any inquiring guests.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Our DJs make all necessary announcements during your event and fill in with a moderate amount of mic chatter as needed to entertain the crowd or keep the dance floor moving.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
In the rare event that our music selections are not motivating your guests to dance, we have a few DJ entertainer "tricks" to motivate the crowd to the dancefloor which result in good times had by all.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We do not take an arbitrary break during our services but do require a meal be provided if available.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
In the event a quick break is needed there would be no interruption in the music.
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
In the rare case of suddenly being unable to perform an event we have other DJs on staff ready to take control without a hitch. Our information is organized so any of our DJs can take over and provide an excellent service at a moments notice.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
No, our DJs do only one event per day. This ensures they are fresh and ready for your event and not having to rush in from or out to another.
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime is charged at our current hourly rate of $175
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We do not require a travel fee within 40 miles of central Wilmington, NC. Any event booked outside of that radius is charged a travel fee of $1 per mile. Destinations may require overnight accommodations be provided based on event time and distance traveled.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
We require roughly one third of the total to reserve your date. Full balance must be paid no later than 3 business days prior to your event.
