We provide custom entertainment for your wedding based on personal service, experience and professionalism at an exceptional value.
Our personal service begins the moment we get your first contact phone call or e-mail. After a quick check of our calendar, we will respond within 24 hours to give you some preliminary information about our services and we will request an informal meeting to get to know you and your future spouse. WE WANT TO GET TO KNOW YOU so we can plan a wonderful wedding that really reflects who you are as a couple, your likes and dislikes, your wants and needs and your wedding vision. We also want you to get to know us as well. We don't believe in high-pressure sales. After our meeting we will grant you access to our convenient online wedding planner, where we will upload all the information we discussed during our initial meeting, and we give you an opportunity to access, review and modify your wedding plans and information from the convenience of your home, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Of course, we will continue to be available for face-to-face interviews and follow up meetings to discuss any concerns, changes or questions you might have.

Experience and Professionalism When you choose our service, you are hiring much more than a guy who stands behind the booth pressing a few buttons to play music. Our service includes a two man team, a DJ and an MC who have worked together and can carefully guide you and your guests through every stage of your wedding reception, creating a well-synchronized, professional production. There will be no uncomfortable silent pauses. Our two performer approach ensures continuity throughout the evening as we take you and your guests through a truly memorable experience on your wedding day. As our Master of Ceremonies addresses you and your guests, our DJ/Sound Engineer provides music at the appropriate levels to avoid that dreaded feedback and to make sure everyone can hear.

Over the years we have performed over 2000 beautiful and unique wedding and we can honestly say no two weddings are alike. Trends change, the music changes, and of course, no two couples are ever the same. That's the beauty of wedding entertainment.

Our professional service includes on-site meetings, unlimited access to our internet planner, and professional equipment, operated professionally, by professional performers. We can honestly say, compared to most of the other DJ's in our area, we have one of the best sound systems. With two professional audio engineers, we can tune our equipment for any room/location. We can also provide professional mixing and sound for your wedding ceremony, in case you choose to hire a professional musician (or family friend) to perform at your ceremony.

Throughout your wedding reception you can be confident that, as long as we're in charge, we will make sure everything flows smoothly. Your Wedding is a once in a lifetime experience. The entertainment you choose will either make or break your day. Not all Disc Jockeys are the same. Some are great club DJs. Some are great for private parties. And then there's Professional Wedding Disc Jockeys. Hiring the right Disc Jockeys for your wedding will make a huge difference on the overall outcome of your wedding.

Here's an interesting fact. A recent poll by St. Louis Bride Magazine found out that, given a chance to do it all over again, a large majority of brides (over 70%) would have spent more on their entertainment and spent more time researching their DJ. Every time I hear a "bad wedding DJ" story, I always ask two questions: How many DJ's did you interview before you made your final selection? Not surprisingly, the majority of brides who have "bad DJ" stories didn't take the time to interview at least 3-5 DJ's before they made their selection. And, not surprisingly, the primary decision made was not the service, but price. This is where it's often said that "you get what you pay for."

Our pricing structure is based on National standards and in line with the American DJ Association's average for Professional Wedding Entertainers. We believe in quoting our services after we know exactly what you want. Because no two weddings are the same, we don't believe in "blind" quotes. Describe your DJ style:
We have three different DJ's to meet most needs. One is primarily a club DJ, one is a dedicated Wedding DJ/MC. The third is a bilingual MC/DJ who specializes in mainstream and latin music
Is there a limit to the amount of music that can be requested?
We don't put an actual limit on the number of requests. However, we do consult with the bride and groom and make sure we play their requests above everything else.
What is your usual attire?
Black on Black. Tuxedo Attire if requested and/or if appropriate, depending on the venue and the bride's preference/request.
If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
If it's commercially available, we will purchase the song for your wedding. If it's not readily available, we will ask you to provide the track to us.
How many other DJs do you work with?
We have 3 on-staff DJ's and two part time backup staff
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
4 hours
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
We encourage at least one meeting with the bride and, if possible, with the groom as well.
Do you specialize in any ethnic or international events?
We have a bilingual (Spanish/English) DJ on staff
Can the client submit a do-not-play list?
Please! We want your wedding to be perfect. That includes playing the music you want, and avoiding the music you don't want.
Do you bring your own equipment?
Yes. We have multiple sound systems we can use, depending on the venue and our client needs.
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
We offer lighting on an as-needed basis.
How much time do you usually need to set up? Do you require that the site or client provide a table for you to set up on?
For a reception-only wedding, we require 2 hours. We might require up to 6 hours if additional lighting is required. 
 For a ceremony our setup is one additional hour.
Do you have any extra space requirements?
No. We're self-contained.
Do you have a sign or banner that you use at events?
We never set up banners or signs at a wedding. The most we will display is a card holder, to allow your guests to inquire about future services.
Do you usually emcee the event or talk between songs?
Because of our two-performer approach we have an MC and a sound engineer/DJ. Our MC will help guide you and your guests throughout the reception, making announcements as appropriate, and only to draw the attention to the bride and groom.
How would you motivate the crowd if no one is dancing?
There are several different techniques we can use, ranging from line dances, to "special" songs where we invite unique groups to join the bride and groom on the floor. We prefer to discuss this in person with our bride and groom.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We ask for a meal to be provided for any wedding that lasts over 4 hours. It doesn't have to be the same as the guests.
Will you arrange for recorded music to play during your breaks?
We don't take breaks, so we will have music playing continuously
What is your backup plan in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Because of our membership with the American DJ Association, we can call any one of their members and have a replacement available on short notice.
Do you book yourself for more than one event in a day?
Never. We believe in meeting with our bride/groom in person and letting them choose their MC/DJ. That DJ/MC is their primary point of contact from that day on.
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime fees depend on the amount of setup and work involved.
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
No. We will quote you an all-inclusive fee for our service.
What is the required deposit to secure your services?
To secure our services, we require a 50% deposit.

Carlos and Scott got our crowd going like we never thought could be possible. Even the old folks were dancing!!
They kept our party going nonstop with activities, dancing, and entertainment! It went by so fast we have to look at the pics to remember all that happened :) They were also very helpful and creative with the planning of our event which was a huge benefit and relief...
They were very attentive to our crowd and our wishes. Everybody has been telling us what a great time they had at our wedding. It was a great experience for all of us! We could not have expected a better night!

I would highly recommend Afterhours Wedding Entertainment to anyone needing a professional DJ. Scott and Carlos made sure that everything ran smoothly, and according to the timeline. We didn't have to worry about coordinating anything. They did it all, and we were able to just enjoy the event. They kept everything moving and guests on the dancefloor. And, even though this wedding was on a Sunday, guests stayed and danced until the end of the reception.

Carlos of After Hours Entertainment was ridiculously accommodating. He
even met us an hour and a half away for our initial consultation. When he realized he did not know our venue, he immediately went over to see it for himself – before we had even met him or booked him. Then he gave us a great discount. He met with us again a few times and helped at our rehearsal. We had great sound quality during the ceremony, allowing everyone to hear everything that went on. Our guests had a blast on the dance floor all night. Carlos was worth every single penny, and was as good as another wedding planner. You *won't* regret hiring Carlos.

Two weeks in advance of our wedding we had to fire our DJ because he would never return our calls. Luckily Carlos, whom we refer to as our guardian angel, stepped in and saved the day. He didn't have to help us out. He didn't have to give us a great deal. But when our wedding was over we were so thrilled that he decided to be our DJ. The most responsive vendor we have ever met. We talked every day and he never missed a call. He is a great family man and a very solid DJ. We had a blast and it is all thanks to Carlos. Hire him and you will not regret it...a gem.

Carlos and Scott were both very helpful and made our wedding the most amazing. They sat down with us and helped us figure out what was going to happen from the ceremony all the way to the end of the night. Without their knowledge and expertise our wedding would not have been the amazing event it was. Having only been to a few weddings in the past, I now know how much a good DJ and MC can make all the difference. Comparing their performance during our wedding to the other weddings we have been to, they are the way to go if you want the best wedding. Scott worked the microphone while Carlos managed the playlist, we couldn't have asked for a better combination.

Carlos and Scott are AMAZING! They created PRICELESS memories that our family, friends, my husband, and I will have forever!! They improvise to make the day flow... like when they coordinated our first dance to be done outside at sunset by the lake! PRICELESS!!! When other Mothers/Sons and Fathers/Daughters were included in our dances, it created lasting memories for our family! When we got advice from the two longest married couples, and Scott picked up on the "how high?" comment!! Priceless!! You kept the dance floor full the entire night, and everyone had a great time!!! Carlos and Scott are the best! They worked hard to accomodate my requests, were patient, and did an outstanding job fulfilling the wedding of my dreams. After our wedding in May, I attended several weddings and how much more I realized that we definitely made the right choice of hiring them. They are not just regular DJ's, they are sound engineers, even the band that played in our wedding commented on the quality of the music their sound system delivered. After hours entertainment was AMAZING!!!! They really made our reception wonderful. They met with us several times before the wedding to ensure all the details were just right, they have a very user friendly website where you can pick your own songs (and go back to it whenever you think of something). They met with us the day before our wedding, and even though I was a complete wreck, managed to assure me that everything would be perfect, which it was They were incredibly flexible, even making our last song change go off without a hitch. Everyone had a great time, the music always seemed to fit the mood just perfectly, they were nice, accomodating, involved and all around great. I would definitely recommend after hours entertainment for any wedding, party or special event. They are just SLIGHTLY more expensive than other DJs I was talking to , but worth every single penny (and for what they offer, the price is absolutely great). What's a great wedding without a great MC? Even my mother-in-law commented on how awesome they were.
