I had high expectations before visiting the shop that is host to "Say Yes to the Dress Canada", however I was very disappointed as soon as I walked into the shop. My bridesmaids and I were looking for bridesmaid dresses and we were greeted within 5 minutes of entering. I asked the woman who greeted us where I could find a particular dress that I saw online and she just said that we were in the right section and walked away. After going through all the dresses and still being unable to find the dress, I asked her again and she told me to go up to the front and ask someone at the computer. I then waited half an hour in line despite being first in line, I was continuously bypassed by salespeople with the clients they were assisting. Finally I asked someone at the front cash and they told me the dress was in the store and it was red, once again, no one offered to help find the dress for me. My bridesmaids and I searched all over the store and came up empty handed. After 1.5 hours in the store, we started to leave and at this point the original sales person now asked me if she could help me find the dress. At this point, being very frustrated with the lack of customer service and compassion from the staff we left and went to another store who immediately found us the dress and we ordered from them.

I was originally excited when i purchased an Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique dress on clearance since I got it for a fairly decent price and it looked like (after careful inspection) that everything was working and in good shape.

A couple of months ago, I opened the dress bag to check on the dress and to my horror, when I touched some of the beading along the bust area of the dress, the beads just fell off!
I was upset because it looked and felt fine at the bridal show! I did contact them to see if they could remedy this situation but they insisted I would have to pay them a fee for fixing a broken dress (a problem which arose because of their poor workmanship)!

I know I took a risk when purchasing a 'final sale' dress but coming from Amanda-Lina's I thought I could trust the quality of their work. I guess not. So if you're a bride-to-be I'd say skip the headache and guesswork of which dresses are good quality or not and buy somewhere else. And if you've already purchased one, be VERY VERY thorough inspecting the dress. Good luck!

Dress prices are good, and the process of trying on dresses is fun and professional.

I would not recommend this boutique - although I purchased my dress here because of the sample they had available (which I needed for the wedding 3 months away), I did not enjoy the experience with my consultant as she knew absolutely nothing about my dress - I'm not joking - she didn't know the designer, the price, the fabric, or the construction of the dress.

The other boutiques I visited (Jealous Bridesmaids, White, Lea Ann Belter) knew everything there is to know about wedding dresses and educate you in the process.
At Amanda Lina, you just try on the dress and see if you like it.

Also, this was the only boutique that would not offer a discount for buying the sample - others were offering 10-30% minimum depending on the condition. I was stuck in a bind so I bought the dress because I truly loved it - but I would not recommend this boutique when there are so many others that make the experience so much more special.

I came to Amandalina's in Vaughan after a nightmare dress situation that happened to me at Sophie's Gown Shoppe in Mississauga. After calling several different dress stores in the GTA and getting completely brushed off and frantically looking for my same dress I finally found it at Amandalina's. They were so empathetic towards my situation and they thankfully had the same dress I wanted, Sam the owner was even able to rush me in a brand new dress the exact same 2 MONTHS before my wedding!!!! I cannot be happier with the dedicated service I received and after months and months of dealing with Sophies who completely BUTCHERED my dress I was able to get a perfectly brand new dress 2 months before my wedding!!!

Don't bother going anywhere else, at Amandalina's they are professional, honest, accommodating and they mean BUSINESS!!

My daughter and I had a horrible experience. The CSR rep Connie. Did not introduce herself ask our names. When the wedding was nor what style dress she was looking for. No one assisted my daughter to put on the dress and then in a very loud unprofessional voice informed my daughter they had no dresses to fit her. My daughter is an average sized girl. She was made to feel overweight. Very unprofessional bridal shop.

Before shopping at Amanda-Lina's I literally went to a dozen different stores to find the perfect dress for me- I was on a mission for a specific look. I was so happy that I found my dress here for within my budget.

My shopping experience was great and so was my sales associate. My sales associate even came out and came to check on me- such a personable experience. While on my quest for that specific dress I dealt with a lot of difficult sale's associates who kept on trying to change my mind on what I wanted- this definitely the case here.

The changes rooms area wasn't crowded like at most shops which helped with the great shopping experience as well.

Overall I am so happy with everything from Amanda-Lina's.

I would not recommend this store. I was a bit clueless as to the importance of where I bought my dress, all I cared about was finding my prefect dress. I liked that Amanda Lina's had a big selection of really nice dresses. I had a nice time finding my dress but the sales associate did nothing to make it feel special in any way for me. Not a big deal - I found my perfect dress and I was happy... until it came time for the fittings.

My fittings were a nightmare. I waited 8 months for the dress to come in and alterations were needed to be done all the way up to the day of my wedding. The dress was not fitting how it should and when I was trying to describe what was wrong I was being told by the fitter that I was being too picky of a bride and I felt I was being made fun of. After 4 fittings and constantly being told "don't worry you will look beautiful", it was now 2 weeks before my wedding and it still was not fitting properly. At one point the dress was so large it was sagging on me, and then at another fitting it was so tight I fainted during my fitting. So I gave up and decided to bring it somewhere else, recommended by a friend to be looked at. This seamstress was able to fix most of what was wrong but not everything. On my actual wedding day I needed to be sewn into my dress by my MIL because there were buttons/hooks and beading missing along the zipper line causing the dress to not close properly. Something very visible now in all my pictures. I ordered my dress one year before the wedding date, and did not gain or lose any weight, I should not have had these problems with my wedding dress.

On top of these issues going on, the manager gave out all my personal information to the Say Yes To The Dress Canada show without my permission. And for the 2 months leading up to my wedding the store and associates were more concerned with preparing for the show than making their actual clients satisfied.

Amanda Lina was the first store I went to try on gowns, I then went to FIVE other store before returning.
Amanda Lina has an amazing selection and most importantly the service was amazing. I purchased my dress with the help of Connie. She was so patient with me and my mom, helped me try on at least 15 dresses before finding the perfect one. The only issue at Amanda Lina is that the seamstress only works evening hours on Thursdays, so there is a wait for appointment, that being said she made my dress fit perfectly.
Very happy with Amanda Lina would recommend them anyone.

A little over priced but they did a good job, the staff is very friendly and the final results are good but it took 4 fittings and I think it could have been done in 2 fittings.

Consultant was apathetic, bored and just plain unethical. I tried on a sample wedding gown that I loved but was told it was on sale because the style is discontinued and can no longer be ordered. The sample was a size 12 and I figured I had to be a much smaller size (size 2 - I confirmed this later by having my measurements taken at two other another stores and seeing them compare it to the designer's sizing chart). Knowing that the amount of alterations would be drastic and the cost of this being substantial, I was obviously hesitant. The consultant continued to pressure me telling me not to worry about alterations, and insisted that I should just get it now because the gown would be taken away later that day to the the National Bridal Show. She then inquired where I had other appointments and after I told her the store, she then started to bash and bad mouth it for ripping off designs and scamming people. Whether this is true or not, it is very unprofessional and awkward. In the end, I was not comfortable doing any business with them so I left.

As soon as I got home, I called 4 other stores that carried this designer and asked if the dress could be ordered. Even though they did not have the sample, NONE of them even hesitated that it could be discontinued. All of them quickly gave me the price and stated that since it was on the designer's website it should be available to order. The next day I called back to Amandalinas and sure enough, the girl on the phone did some clicking on the computer and confirmed I could order it. This is highly unethical for a consultant to do - to pressure me into an implusive purchase making me think I had no other choice. Even if the consultant truly thought it was discontinued (due to a mistake - which is still her fault), a sensible person would still take the extra time and double check after seeing her client is very serious about the dress.
