First off, I know taking pics isn't isn't allowed and after the first warning my bridesmaids stopped. My 16 year old sister later secretly snapped a pic of the dress I was already going to buy and when the consultant saw her she fully went on to YELL at her and embarrass her in front of the whole store. Yes my sister was wrong but she's young and yelling at her was extremely unprofessional.

Anyway, I had done my research before coming to my appointment and had a few dresses in mind that I wanted to try on which I knew they carried. In the end it came down to two dresses and she pushed me to make a decision and quickly took one dress and put it away. By the end of the appointment I decided I wanted to try it again and she rolled her eyes and said " I thought we ruled that one out, you like this better", pointing to the other dress (obviously the more expensive one). She finally brought the other dress back and went on to say that it was last season so would likely be discontinued soon and since my wedding is in 10 months I'm already behind on ordering because it could take 8 months to get the dress and 3 months to alter it. I left with anxiety and called another Maggie Sottero seller who told me that 1. Their dresses are delivered within 4-6 months and 2. The dress I like would definitely not be discontinued because it was one of the designer's top sellers and a "priority" dress which means it could arrive as quickly as 8-10 WEEKS. My mom, mother in law and bridesmaids all got the same sense from our consultant and felt that she truly ruined my first dress shopping experience. I went to Becker's a week later and it was night and day! I had the best time with the fun and bubbly consultant, and ended up buying the dress I liked at Amanda Lina's at a 20% lower price.

My daughter and I booked an appointment to try on dresses. When we arrived we were greeted warmly at the door, introduced to our consultant Dimitra, and the "Bridal storybook experience" started. She listened to what my daughter wanted, brought out dresses she had chosen to try on ahead of time (pictures on an I Pad), and then suggested a dress that turned out to be the perfect fit in every way for my daughter. It suited her personality, her sense of style, her winter wedding, and her skin tone! She added the perfect accessories, and the look was complete. 45 minutes later, we were sitting in the car with the dress in the back! She was treated like a bride should be, and I got the experience of a lifetime as Mother-of-the Bride. Dimitra knew what she was doing and did it with good humour and gentle support. She knew what would make her glow.
When we returned for steaming, the bustle and an extra crinoline, we got the same great treatment. The store was very busy but we were not rushed. The final visit a few days before the wedding was special. Dimitra dropped back to wish her well and Ranya handled the fitting. It was fun and special! Exactly the way it should be for a bride.
My advice would be to make an appointment, take someone you trust, and let these professionals steer you to the perfect dress!

My daughter and I booked an appointment to try on dresses. When we arrived we were greeted warmly at the door, introduced to our consultant Dimitra, and the "Bridal storybook experience" started. The selection at Amanda Lina's is great.
However, make sure to have an appointment every single time you need to go to the store.
I went without an appointment to choose a headpiece and even though the store was not busy (only one other customer) it seemed like I was bothering them.
Other than that the service was great, the staff was friendly and the selection was great.

I had over 20 dress appointments across the GTHA and Amanda Lina's was by far one of the worst - I can't believe this place was chosen as "Say Yes to the Dress Canada". The service was terrible - the consultant assigned to me had zero interest, no enthusiasm and was not at all helpful. She brought me a handful of dresses that were not at all what I asked for. I had high expectations before visiting the shop that is host to "Say Yes to the Dress Canada", however I was very disappointed as soon as I walked into the shop. My bridesmaids and I were looking for bridesmaid dresses and we were greeted within 5 minutes of entering. I asked the woman who greeted us where I could find a particular dress that I saw online and she just said that we were in the right section and walked away. After going through all the dresses and still being unable to find the dress, I asked her again and she told me to go up to the front and ask someone at the computer. I then waited half an hour in line despite being first in line, I was continuously bypassed by salespeople with the clients they were assisting. Finally I asked someone at the front cash and they told me the dress was in the store and it was red, once again, no one offered to help find the dress for me. My bridesmaids and I searched all over the store and came up empty handed. After 1.5 hours in the store, we started to leave and at this point the original sales person now asked me if she could help me find the dress. At this point, being very frustrated with the lack of customer service and compassion from the staff we left and went to another store who immediately found us the dress and we ordered from them.

I was originally excited when i purchased an Amanda-Lina's Bridal Boutique dress on clearance since I got it for a fairly decent price and it looked like (after careful inspection) that everything was working and in good shape.

A couple of months ago, I opened the dress bag to check on the dress and to my horror, when I touched some of the beading along the bust area of the dress, the beads just fell off!
I was upset because it looked and felt fine at the bridal show! I did contact them to see if they could remedy this situation but they insisted I would have to pay them a fee for fixing a broken dress (a problem which arose because of their poor workmanship)!

I know I took a risk when purchasing a 'final sale' dress but coming from Amanda-Lina's I thought I could trust the quality of their work. I guess not. So if you're a bride-to-be I'd say skip the headache and guesswork of which dresses are good quality or not and buy somewhere else. And if you've already purchased one, be VERY VERY thorough inspecting the dress. Good luck!

I came to Amandalina's in Vaughan after a nightmare dress situation that happened to me at Sophie's Gown Shoppe in Mississauga. After calling several different dress stores in the GTA and getting completely brushed off and frantically looking for my same dress I finally found it at Amandalina's. They were so empathetic towards my situation and they thankfully had the same dress I wanted, Sam the owner was even able to rush me in a brand new dress the exact same 2 MONTHS before my wedding!!!! I cannot be happier with the dedicated service I received and after months and months of dealing with Sophies who completely BUTCHERED my dress I was able to get a perfectly brand new dress 2 months before my wedding!!!

Don't bother going anywhere else, at Amandalina's they are professional, honest, accommodating and they mean BUSINESS!!

Consultant was apathetic, bored and just plain unethical. I tried on a sample wedding gown that I loved but was told it was on sale because the style is discontinued and can no longer be ordered. The sample was a size 12 and I figured I had to be a much smaller size (size 2 - I confirmed this later by having my measurements taken at two other another stores and seeing them compare it to the designer's sizing chart). Knowing that the amount of alterations would be drastic and the cost of this being substantial, I was obviously hesitant. The consultant continued to pressure me telling me not to worry about alterations, and insisted that I should just get it now because the gown would be taken away later that day to the the National Bridal Show. She then inquired where I had other appointments and after I told her the store, she then started to bash and bad mouth it for ripping off designs and scamming people. Whether this is true or not, it is very unprofessional and awkward. In the end, I was not comfortable doing any business with them so I left.

As soon as I got home, I called 4 other stores that carried this designer and asked if the dress could be ordered. Even though they did not have the sample, NONE of them even hesitated that it could be discontinued. All of them quickly gave me the price and stated that since it was on the designer's website it should be available to order. The next day I called back to Amandalinas and sure enough, the girl on the phone did some clicking on the computer and confirmed I could order it. This is highly unethical for a consultant to do - to pressure me into an implusive purchase making me think I had no other choice. Even if the consultant truly thought it was discontinued (due to a mistake - which is still her fault), a sensible person would still take the extra time and double check after seeing her client is very serious about the dress.
