This place knows how to do a reception! The price is steep but comparable to the other venues in this beautiful, historic area. They do a nice job so you get what you pay for. We were in good hands throughout the planning process and through the entire evening. Our guests were very impressed and had a great time. The food was delicious. Entrees were served in a timely, organized manner and were at the right temperature. The flow of the evening ran smoothly. Great time!

Our wedding at the Annapolis Marriott was perfect. It was such a pleasure working with Hilary Moreland and they did an exceptional job. On the wedding day I was virtually stress free because I know we were in good hands.

We had 200+ guests and we were running a bit behind schedule but Hilary tried to make sure we didn't get too far behind.

Overall I would recommend the Annapolis Marriott as a wedding venue and was very pleased with everything!

Hilary and team at the Marriott are amazing. They helped me to plan every detail from food tastings to the plan for the evening. I can honestly say that Hilary and her team allowed me and my mother to relax and truely enjoy the evening. They met with all the vendors the morning of so that everything was in place and were very flexible with quoting the bill and last minute changes in the head count. The food was plated and amazing and the bar tenders were polite, fun, and efficient. We could not have been happier with the location or the view. The only downside is parking when Annapolis gets busy but there is valet parking at the hotel.

As if the view of the Annapolis Harbor from the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott does not position this venue within the elite wedding sites of this area, the style, professionalism, and expertise of the hotel and catering staff secures their position at the top of the list. Courtney Ritterbush handled every step of the wedding planning process with an ease and grace that constantly calmed me as the bride. She is the reason every bride think’s they can be a wedding planner because she made it look so easy. Courtney was extremely attentive and available. She always answered my questions, which oftentimes there were many. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating.
On the day of the wedding, Alvin helped with our preliminary set up. Alvin was also very attentive and helpful. We had an illness in the family and many members could not come at the last minute, therefore we needed to make a lot of last minute changes. Alvin calmed my nerves and took care of any changes that needed to be made. When Courtney arrived for the day, she took care of everything, from making sure the table arrangements were in place to maintaining vendor contact. I was able to soak up each moment of my day because of Courtney’s unmatched professionalism.
I would also like to note a lovely lady named Alberta working at the front desk. While setting up the bridal holding room, she was our go-to front desk staff member. She took care of anything my bridal party needed while we were getting ready, which is just another testament to the never-ending professionalism at the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott. I cannot imagine planning my wedding, or having such an exceptional day, without the amazing support and service provided by Courtney and the entire hotel staff.

The Marriott did a fantastic job of hosting our ceremony and reception! We worked with Courtney and Hillary, who were easy to work with and are both very friendly. Courtney was fabulous...I really enjoyed working with her through the whole procexss. She was so responsive and put my mind at ease. I thought the price was a tad steep, but then again, it's the only hotel on the water in Annapolis, so they can certainly charge what they see fit. We had to hang our own lanterns on the outside patio for some reason...the hotel wouldn't do that for us (liability, I'm guessing) so that was a tad more stress than we needed, but otherwise, we were very happy with our experience.

We LOVED our venue! We had our ceremony and reception both at the Annapolis Marriott and had a beautiful Saturday in March with the Winter Wedding special. We really lucked out with the warm weather and sunshine but you could NOT beat the winter special they had running! We were going to book during the busy season and they had thrown in so many incentives it was hard to say no. Our first wedding coordinator was Courtney, I could not say enough good things about her! She was very super friendly, professional and was a total wedding expert! She helped bring all of our ideas to life and was very responsive to all of my emails. We worked with Courtney up through the tasting (she made it so fun!) until 2 months before our wedding when it switched to Hilary. As a bride, I was a little worried about switching coordinators but they both made sure it was comfortable process and painless. Hilary jumped right in! The day of the wedding, everyone was SO helpful and sweet. During the wedding, the coordinators always made sure we were OK and there was a drink in our hand. They even had champagne waiting when we walked back down the aisle! The rooftop deck was the perfect setting for our ceremony, such a beautiful view and atmosphere. Hilary had every detail taken care of and made the day a breeze. The food was AWESOME (filet/lobster, chicken and salmon) and everyone raved about the fun signature drinks! We had an amazing view and the cocktail tent was the perfect escape for a drink, an area for people to catch up and for those who wanted to sneak away from the music. Being downtown was a huge bonus for guests to head to after the reception and for out of town guests. I am a very, very detailed person and the girls were so good at keeping things organized, on track and making sure every detail was spot on! Not to mention, they are a blast to work with and always keep you smiling. We adored our venue and the staff at the Marriott, one of the best wedding decisions we made!

My husband and I managed to get a perfect day in early March making the Marriott a perfect choice. The view of the bay in the background was the perfect setting for our wedding ceremony. We took advantage of the Marriott's winter wedding package, and while it is risky weather-wise, it allowed us to have exactly the wedding we had hoped for. My only complaint is that when our initial coordinator, who was fantastic, accepted a new position, I was lead to believe she would stick with us through the remainder of our wedding planning. This was true up until about 3 months prior to our wedding. At that time we were passed off to a different coordinator who we had never met and didn't meet (other than via email) until our final meeting, 2 days before our wedding. The new coordinator was very nice, but it was difficult explaining my vision to someone completely new who had not been there with us from the start. As a result, there were a few issues in day-of prep that I was fortunate to have friends and family available to help with. Also, if you plan to have a room block at the Marriott, be aware that the initial number of rooms you choose for your block is all that they will allow you. We had to find an additional hotel nearby when our block filled sooner than expected. In the end, the day was seamless for our guests, the setting was awesome and the wait staff did an amazing job making sure my husband and I were taken care of, so I am happy. Everyone loved the location in downtown Annapolis and we have received nothing but compliments since. Overall a great pick, despite a few minor setbacks.

I decided to get married at the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront in November, and it was the best decision I made:) I was looking for a venue that was classy and beautiful, and this is what the Annapolis Marriott Waterfront delivered! The weekend felt like a get-away weekend, with everything being accessible in Annapolis.

The hotel provided a wedding coordinator for the planning process and the wedding day. We had met initially with Courtney, who I must say, was the BEST wedding coordinator I could have! She wasn't pushy with anything. After signing the contract, Courtney stayed in touch with me, providing me with information, and would always get back to you within a timely manner. She was extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process. On our wedding day, Courtney was so organized and calm. I didn't have to worry about a thing, she dealt with EVERYTHING, including setting up our personal touches for the wedding and dealing with the vendors. I cannot say enough about Courtney...she did an amazing job!

The Marriott is literally right on the water. Our ceremony was on the outside patio, overlooking the bay (an amazing view!). The cocktail hour was held in the outdoor tent, which stayed warm with heaters even though it was pretty chilly that day. This provided an "outdoor" feel for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception was held in the ballroom, which was huge and soooo gorgeous! I had many comments about how wonderful the food was, especially the Chicken Picatta:)

The rooms were a bit aged, but it gave us the historic feeling of Annapolis, and many rooms provided views of the bay. The staff was amazing, so professional and helpful. If you are looking for a beautiful Annapolis venue, the Annapolis Marriott is the way to go!!

The venue sort of speaks for itself - lovely hotel ballroom and giant terrace over the water in an unbeatable location. The food was pretty basic wedding fare, nothing to write home about - but who really goes to a wedding for the food?

What stood out above and beyond was the team we worked with. For the most part we worked with Courtney, and loved every minute. She helped bounce ideas around, gave us great advice for other vendors and things to do around Annapolis, and helped us come up with a great plan for the whole weekend.

Every meeting we had was productive and fun, and we were able to negotiate on things we didn't want/need, arriving at a day that was really perfect for us and our family and friends. You meet a lot of vendors in the planning process, and these were two that I wouldn't hesitate to go back to or recommend (or visit next time we're in town!).

What stood out above and beyond was the team we worked with. For the most part we worked with Courtney, and loved every minute. She helped bounce ideas around, gave us great advice for other vendors and things to do around Annapolis, and helped us come up with a great plan for the whole weekend.

Courtney and the Marriott Waterfront Annapolis did a fabulous job for our wedding! Courtney was great and so helpful - even beyond her duties at the Marriott. For an out of town bride, she was able to guide us and provide us information for great florists, bakers, bands, photographers and anything else we needed. On the day of our wedding, everything went seamlessly with the help of Courtney. We had an absolutely amazing time here for our wedding. It was so nice to have the ceremony and reception in one place. Courtney was great to work with, I didn't worry about anything at all because I knew Courtney was taking care of it. The one thing I would complain about is that they wouldn't give the bride and groom a waterfront balcony. You would think that would automatically be included in the package with as much money as we spent. Other than that, everything was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding. Everyone raved all night about how awesome the location was.

Our daughter and son-in-law's wedding reception at the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott was fabulous. I felt like a guest at my own party. The credit goes to Courtney, our wedding coordinator, who was wonderful to work with--very accessible, very professional. The service staff and food were great. The portion sizes were large and the appetizers perfect. The rooms are pricey so we booked block rooms at the hampton and doubletree (both easy to work with), and provided a shuttle as it was new years eve. I agree with the other posts that hotel rooms are pricey and tough that everything is separate- you have to talk to a bunch of people instead of just going thru one person which wouldve been easier. This venue provided a beautiful setting for our December 4th wedding! When booking your reception here, you are also getting the help of a wedding coordinator on site. Our wedding coordinator was amazing and a pleasure to work with! She was very attentive and quick to respond to all of our questions and concerns.

When I walked into my reception my breathe was taken away at how beautiful the room looked. Hilary and Courtney the two wedding planners for the hotel were absolutely amazing. She was so much fun to work with and constantly looked out for our best interests, making suggestions without being overbearing, and listening to what we wanted for our wedding. The venue looked fantastic--there really is nothing else like it in Annapolis that will allow up to 250 guests without being held in a tent (believe me I did lots of looking). The food was fantastic, all of our guests raved and the serving staff was wonderful. I can't understand other reviewers criticisms of the food--I've been to my share of weddings and this food was a huge step up from others. I just can't say enough about Kim, the food, the location and the staff. The only negative is the parking situation--there is virtually no guaranteed parking. Just know that you should add in the expense of running a shuttle (we used school buses) from some other location if you book during the busy summer, Navy football games or boat show times. Once you get over that fact, you'll realize it's worth the inconvenience and extra cost. The only other negative is the cost of hotel rooms there. I wasn't as impressed with the hotel sales staff and thought that a required two night minimum with the 'discounted' cost of $299.00 plus lots of taxes a little crazy. We set up a wedding block at Springhill Suites in Parole for $139.00 + tax a night. When the wedding week rolled around the Marriott wasn't totally booked and they dropped the two night minimum and offered our wedding-discounted price to the guy on the street. Supply and demand, I guess! Several of our guests discovered this and changed their reservations. A pain for delivering (or re-delivering) guest bags!

When we booked our wedding you could add painkillers (the signature rum runner like drink) for only a buck per person more. The guests loved those. For decorations, we added paper Japanese lanterns (online purchase and some from Pier 1) and some Target bulb patio lights to the patio canopy and it looked extra beautiful. The weather cooperated and it was a beautiful night on the Annapolis Harbour. I was actually worried no one would come in and dance because they were enjoying the view from the patio so much! No worries, the dancing kicked in and everyone had a blast.

We chose this venue because it is one of the only places on the water in Annapolis. There is nowhere else in downtown historic Annapolis that we would have liked better; however, the service, food and staff could have been better.

We went through two wedding coordinators during the year we planned our wedding. No one notified us of the change in coordinators, instead we found out when the old coordinator stopped responding to our emails.

Everything went smoothly for our dress rehearsal and wedding, but I couldn't help feeling like the Marriott knows they have the market cornered so they don't have to exceed expectations.

There was turnover in the staff which caused some miscommunication, but all worked out in the end. There is an exellent winter wedding package that is a good value (though you run the risk of your wedding overlapping with lousy weather that could cause massive travel problems at that time of year in Maryland). Nice facilities, guests enjoyed it. Can best use the outdoor areas and view of the city in pleasant weather, though, so we missed out on that.

Overall the service for our 2004 wedding was very good -- I found the various coordinators hard to work with (we had more than one contact due to a maternity leave) and would have preferred to have had one main contact. The food was as good as any "hotel food" but we were disappointed by the lack of flexibility for using outside vendors for some aspects (A/V, desserts).
