While most of those weddings have been here in the NY Metro area Bob has also shot affairs in Italy and various Carribean Islands. ’Wedding Photography is a one shot deal’. There’s not a second chance to get it right which is why one should not comprosise and take their choice lightly when shopping for a wedding photographer.

It’s important for you to get to know your photographer, to feel comfortable with him and for him to get to know you and what you would like. It’s also important to choose someone with a comprehensive photographic background who will be a part of your wedding day team. When you contract with Bob Wallace to photograph your wedding, Bob personally will be your photographer. Depending on your budget Bob usually has an associate, second photographer working by his side assuring comprehensive and creative coverage not only of what occurs in front of him, but also what goes on around him while he works. Bob’s style encompasses various styles including photojournalism, candids, still life detail shots as well as gorgeous portraits, family and bridal party shots. A well planned day and an experienced, easy to work with team of professionals goes a long way in insuring you will have the quality images you expect and will cherish for a lifetime.

Contemporary, Photojournalism
What do your packages include?
Albums, Digital Files, High Resolution Images, Matted Prints, Prints, Proof CD of All Images
Do you have liability insurance?
Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?
Sepia, infra red black and white, hand coloring..whatever you like!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
My background in lighting is more diverse than most wedding photographers and whatever the situation...it's not a problem.
Is your media preference film or digital?
Digital. I photographed weddings using film for over 12 years and shooting digitally allows me the freedom to focus more on what's going on in front of me. The color as well as the 'black & white's' are gorgeous.
How many photographers do you work with?
Whatever the job calls for. I usually work with an associate photographer by my side which allows for more comprehensive coverage than if I were to shoot alone however I can deliver good quality coverage shooting by myself if the job calls for it.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
Never...I book 15 weddings per year maximum. I'm always fresh and ready to go!
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
Yes, I have personally trained atleast six photographers who now have their own studios. In the event anything unforeseen would happen to any one of us, all of our backs are covered and in good hands.
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Top of the line Canon Digital Cameras, lenses and flashes.
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
More than I should ever need.
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I offer several shooting packages designed to handle various budgets and needs.
Are you available to shoot extra hours? If yes, how much do you charge for extra hours?
Yes, overtime is usually dealt with on the wedding day and the rate is between $250 and $300 depending on the number of photographers.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
15-20 minutes to eat and that's about it. The rest of the time we have work to do.
Do you charge for travel?
Usually not unless the affair requires a stay over or is more than 50 miles away.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Typically 3 weeks.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
Web site and CD.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The CD is theirs for the keeping.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes...that simply means the couple cannot sell their images for stock or anything like that. Upon the completion of their album I provide a DVD of high resolution digital negatives which they can print from.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
It's a standard legal right photographers have but on several occasions have worked for people of notoriety who requested that I don't use their photographs for publicity and I have honored their request for privacy.
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes, high resolution digital negatives upon completion of their albums.
Will images be available for viewing online?
What kind of albums do you offer?
Matted, flush mount and coffee table.
When will the client get the final album?
3-4 months after we complete the approved design. The biggest factor is how long it takes brides to make their decisions and schedule an appointment to come in and handle their design.

We were extremely fortunate to have Bob Wallace as our wedding photographer. We did have a personal relationship with him as he had been a customer to my parent's photo shop many years ago. We had an engagement photo session prior to the wedding so we knew what to expect on our wedding day. We are in the process of going through almost 800 photos to choose for our album. It will be a difficult task to choose 100 from so many great shots.

Bob was great! He was organized and got the shots we wanted in the least amount of time possible, and was not intrusive. Friendly and prompt and takes great shots!
