I just picked up my dress and I am not very happy. Not only does it smell funny like the last review(like Asian food), but my dress is also not 100%. Now granted I bought a sample dress so it did need some fixing up, but one whole side of my dress is missing beads, strings are hanging and there are very faint spots scattered all over the dress. She is very expensive.....I paid $40 for the beads to be fixed which they are not 100%....$95 for dry-cleaning which I don't even know if it was dry-cleaned....and $360 for hem and bustle. And She demanded CASH!! I gave her a deposit by check and she signed it in her daughters name...very fishy to me??

I would NOT suggest going here for any alterations on a wedding dress. I had it taken up a little and a SIMPLE bustle (single button). I am not sure of the value because I was only able to get one other quote over the phone from David's Bridal for what I needed. I got my dress shortened (NOT SHORT ENOUGH) I had to lift my dress up the entire way down the isle so I wouldn't trip. If that wasn't bad enough the bustle BROKE half way through my reception I had to use my wrist strap that came sewn into the dress originally. She charged me $300 when I asked if she could lower it she said if I bring cash she can take off $5.00 yes it's $5.00 but when you are talking about hundreds 5 isn't all that much!

When I went to pick up the dress she told me to come back in an HOUR (we had a set appointment) and my maid of honor came all the way out to help me pick it up and see how the bustle worked. We ended up sitting in the car (pouring rain) for an hour while she finished the dress. AND when we finally did go in and I was able to try on the dress she kept pestering my maid of honor about when she was going to get married and that she should bring her dress there to get altered! My maid of honor isn't even engaged...

When I got home and went to hang up my dress in the closet, I noticed my entire garmet bag was RIPPED and closed up with safety pins! (David's bridal DOES charge for these bags by the way!).

Can't remember the name of the woman who owns and does all the work but she is AMAZING! My dress was way too big and it was all lace and beading. She had it down to the right size in one fitting and at a very reasonable price. She did tons of hand sewing and beading on my dress and everything was perfect. I also got cleaning and steaming included. She has bras and corsets on hand to sew into your gown, but I had to buy my own as I am a very unusual size. She offered to alter one that she had though to try to make it work if I couldn't find one that fit. I know several other people who have used this tailor and all were very pleased. I also had her make a few small changes to my rehearsal dinner dress. Definitely worth the trip to Wayland.
