I work with your images so that the presentation you see on my website is what you actually get in your proofs!
Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?
I'm experienced with just about any lighting situation you could throw at me!
Is your media preference film or digital?
I work exclusively in digital.
How many photographers do you work with?
Usually, it's just me. If you'd like a second shooter, that can be arranged.
Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?
Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one event in a day? Weekend?
A day? No way! A weekend? Sometimes.
Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the day of the event?
What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you on the day-of?
Two cameras (at least), two flashes, multiple lenses to cover all sorts of angles and lighting situations, lots and lots of memory, extra batteries...and an absolute passion for this job!
Do you bring back-up equipment to the event in case of malfunction?
Do you charge hourly or full day?
I charge for a set number of hours in my packages. I can arrange to stay longer for an hourly rate.
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Usually just the one, and a few minutes here and there to stay hydrated, change out memory cards, etc.
Do you charge for travel?
After the first 35 miles, I charge the IRS rate. depending on the distance, and how early or late the event starts, I sometimes charge for a hotel stay.
How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
The proofs are guaranteed by 30 days. Usually, it's more like a week.
In what format are the initial proofs offered?
depends on the package - all packages come with online proofing. Hard copy printed proofs, proof books, and high-res DVD can all be arranged.
How long can the client keep the proofs?
The online galleries stay up for 6 months. Any proofs they get for their package are theirs forever.
Do you retain the copyright for the photos?
Yes. But, if the couple buys or receives the high-res DVD of images they get full printing and emailing rights.
Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the client?
Yes - in most of my packages.
Will images be available for viewing online?
What kind of albums do you offer?
everything from flushmount leather to softcovers.
When will the client get the final album?
Within 90 days, depending on the number of revisions required.
