Thank you for visiting Cakes by H and considering it for your upcoming event. I am a State of Maine licensed cake decorator and I make cakes to order for all events. If you have seen a picture of a cake that has appealed to you then feel free to provide it and I can price and duplicate that cake.

At this time, cash and checks are the only accepted forms of payment. See “contact” for mailing address.
*Any returned checks will be subject to a $30.00 Returned Check Fee on top of the original order amount, payable in cash only.
There are two methods of delivery.
One: Cakes can be picked up from my home in Norway.
Two: I will deliver within a 15 mile radius for standard event cakes and a 30 mile radius for wedding cakes. Outside of this delivery area will be at an additional charge. Cake set up, if necessary, is included with all deliveries.
Deposits and Payment Due Dates:
For standard event cakes I require full payment one week prior to the event date. This payment is non-refundable should cancellation be necessary. For all wedding cake orders, I require a non-refundable $50.00 deposit to hold the event date. Full payment is due two weeks prior to the scheduled event, at which time it becomes non-refundable should cancellation be necessary.

Since custom cakes can come in a variety of shapes and sizes this is just to be used as a guide. See below for serving sizes per shape and size. These prices are based on two layers of cake with standard buttercream icing and filling. See “Cake Information” for other options available at an additional charge.
6” round - $10.00
8” round - $13.00
10” round - $16.00
12” round - $20.00
¼ sheet (13” x 9”) - $20.00
½ sheet (16” x 12”) - $30.00
Full sheet (16” x 24”) - $50.00
Character shapes/themes - $20.00-$35.00 (varies depending on detail)
All 1st birthday cakes come with a complimentary single serving cake for the child.
All wedding cakes are custom made to order and prices are quoted based on the information provided. The following is to be utilized as a guide until details are discussed:
Buttercream Icing - $2.00 per serving
Fondant - $3.50 per serving
Fresh Flowers – You are responsible to order and pay for fresh flowers utilized, from your desired florist, unless otherwise noted. There are some flowers that are considered toxic. It is up to your florist that is providing the flowers to make sure the flowers are safe to be used on the cake. Should you provide your own flowers you should let your florist know that any fresh flowers need to be arranged in containers to avoid contamination and for safety should not be inserted directly into the cake. My preference is to place flowers on the cake myself as long as mutual delivery time can be arranged with the florist. I will purchase and arrange fresh flowers, if desired, at an additional charge.
Icing Flowers – Standard buttercream icing flowers are included in the cost of the cake. Specialty icing flowers – fondant, gum paste, and royal icing are available at an additional charge.
Non-traditional shapes – hearts, squares, petals, hexagons and paisleys are an additional $0.50 per serving.
Rental Pieces - Fees may apply for necessary cake equipment such as pillars, fountains, or platforms. In the event of lost, damaged, or unreturned equipment, steep replacement charges will be levied.
Side sheet cakes and cupcake wedding cakes are available. Prices vary depending upon individual requests.

Any and all! Weddings, Bridal Showers, Baby Showers, Birthdays, Anniversaries, Baptisms, Confirmations, Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, X-rated and specialty cakes are also available.
White, Yellow, Chocolate, Marble, Red Velvet, Spice, Banana Supreme, Lemon Supreme, Caramel, German Chocolate, Butter, Carrot, Strawberry, Funfetti, and Dark Chocolate. Reduced sugar cakes are also available in limited flavors. I would be glad to make a cake from scratch using a special recipe for an additional charge.
Icing Flavors (available in all colors):
Vanilla, Butter, Almond, Chocolate, Raspberry, Chocolate, French, Swiss Meringue, Cream Cheese, Peanut Butter, Vanilla Ganache, and Chocolate Ganache. If you have a special flavor icing or a recipe you would like me to utilize let me know and I will try to accommodate.
Fondant is available at an additional charge.
Lemon, Chocolate, Pastry Cream, Pineapple, Jams, and Icing. Other fillings can be used upon request. Fillings beyond the standard icing used on the cake is at an additional charge.
