We had a great expereince with the owner who shot our wedding. Sam was amazing and did ever shot I wanted. The only problem we came across was that we paid for 2 photographers and only Sam showed up before the wedding. A second one made it by the reception, but we were really bummed we didn't have 2 the entire time since that is what we paid for. We have not received our pictures officially, but we saw them on the slide show he played during our reception of the ones he had just taken suring the ceremony and of the wedding party. They were amazing. I definately would reccomend him again!

Dont use Cantina Lights for your pictures! AS long as they are getting what they want they are friendly and sound very professional. I paid Cantina Lights a lousy $20 to have pictures taken just to try them out before I made a final decision for my wedding photographer. Before I had even got to take my pictures, I found avery good photographer and signed a contract weeks later. Since it really was not necessary to have pics taken by Cantina, I called to cancel and ask for the refund which I was entitled to as their receipt said! Well, they never returned my calls and to this days (8 months later), they have not bothered to return my calls even after another vendor who referred me to them asked them to. They are very unprofessional and if they act this way over $20 bucks imagine how else they work? Yes, they are cheap but you get what you paid for. Avoid a headache and dont use.

My overall experience with Cantina was okay. The work and the product they produced was not the problem at all. The photos they took at the wedding were absolutely stunning and the guest book they made for us were gorgeous. Our photographer was actually the owner of the company and he was wonderful. He got the cd of our pictures back to us with in a week. My only problem was trying to get a hold of anyone in the office. When I called no one would answer EVER and when I would leave a message I wouldn't get a response for a couple of days. The same with email. I also had to work with multiple people because our original photographer left the company as did the photographer we originally choose for the wedding. The pictures are beautiful but this company seems unorganized and needs to have realible staff in the office.

So far so good.....we have yet to receive our book and cd of photos, but want to complete our reviews while they are fresh in our minds. We searched high and low for a good deal for a wedding photographer since our wedding was so tiny. This was by far the best price in the area. Cantina even added a complementary second photographer for our wedding day, which was fantastic!! I never thought having two was necessary, but they were both so helpful. We just received our slideshow to send to familly and friends and were ever so pleased with the results.

This company sounded really good at the sales pitch, but before our wedding the original photographer that we spoke to left the company and we were assigned another photographer. She gave us a hard time in scheduling an appointment to meet with her in person to go over the details. I specifically told her that I did not like the side angled shots, I just wanted straight forward photography. Most of our shots are angled! I also requested one shot that my husband has always dreamed of, a shot from above during the ceremony with all of our guests looking towards us. Our venue even showed her what I wanted as one of their other couples had it done before. The shot was not taken! An additional photographer was sent in at the last minute and the whole time, the main photographer kept telling her to get out of the way, out of the shots and telling us that she was the photographer, not the other person who was probably an apprentice just in everyone's way. One plus is that we got the CD of all of the shots taken (4-5 of the same thing) with release to print as many as we want. Major minus, no actual prints so we spent another 100.00 printing our selves.

The only vendor we really ended up having any real problems with for our wedding was our photographer--Or really, just Cantina Light, the company. Our photographer, Samantha, was great. She was super responsive, put-together, and took really good pictures. We went with using Cantina because they had a contract with the Muckenthaler at the time that was too good to pass up. So we figured yes, they were cheaper, so it might not be the BEST thing we can find, but it will work...

The wedding went great, everything was fine, and even a week after the wedding, Samantha posted our preview slideshow on their website. Then we got the e-mail that she'd left the company.

It seemed like after Samantha left, all communication stopped. We were told we should get our pictures about 8 weeks after the wedding, and then they'd start the design process for our album. In reality, we didn't get anything until mid-August, when they sent us a preview slideshow of our "album layout". It was awful. They didn't ask us for any input, nor did they provide us a gallery of our pictures to choose from--they just put it together without us. There was a lot of back and forth at that point. We finally got them to post a gallery of all of our pictures online so we could see what pictures we had to choose from for the album. We were originally promised that the other way around--gallery first, then album design. We basically re-laid out the album ourselves and resubmitted it to them in early October. But they still held our pictures hostage, saying that they don't give them out until the album and contract with the client are finished. Whatever.

We ended up getting our album in December, along with full versions of all of our photos on DVDs. While I'm happy with the way everything turned out in the end, it was a process I'd rather not ever have to go through again. I blame most of the situation on our photographer leaving the company, but I feel like they could've been a BIT more responsive.

It does seem that they're trying to get their act together, lately. I've checked out their website, and they've completely redesigned it and added a lot of new features, so it might be worth checking out. I'm just hoping their customer service has improved.
